Home again, home again, jiggity jiggity
After 6 months in the fuedal era training to be a demon, Yuki was ready to go home. The wind blew her midnight black hair as she came upon the well and grinned to herself. A hot shower and a real bed flashed in her mind. She jumped in with no hesitaion. She grinned wildly as the blue light swirled around her. Just like the first time she jumped in the well she floated to the opening of the other time for a few minutes she found herself touching solid ground again. She looked up. When she could see sky she knew she was home. She lept out of the well and ran out the door to her mother's house.
"Mom!! MOM!! I'm home!!" She called as she ran inthe front door. She heard a rustling in the kitchen as Kagome shuffled out with a cup of coffee in her hand which she promptly dropped upon seeing her daughter.
"Y-Yuki??" She asked astonished. "What are you doin here??" Yuki's smile faded. No 'Welcome home. Glad to see you. I miss you??' Yuki stared at her mother for a moment before she stormedoff upstairs. Not even a welcome home. She figured after she showered and dressed she'd be able to handle her mother.
She came back down the stairs an hour later feeling refreshed. She found her mother in the kitchen with a new cup of coffee sitting between her hands. She took a deep breath and sat down in front of her mother.
"Yuki. I'm sorry." Kagome said quietly. "I just didn't expect to see you again." She took her daughters hands. "I missed you."
"Oh, mom..." Yuki cried and they shared a long hug. Yuki sniffled and pulled away. "OH! Mom, I was told to give this to you." Yuki pulled a note out of her pocket and handed it to her mother. Kagome slowly unfolded it and red it slowly. Her eyes welled with tears at the simple letter.
I Love you, always. - S
That was all the note said. That was all it needed to say. Kagome wiped her eyes and looked at her daughter.
"Come back with me." Yuki pleaded.
"Oh, honey... He wouldn't want to see me like this." Kagome said. "I'd rather him remember me the way I was." Yuki rolled her eyes as she grabbed the note.
"Do you really think he cares what you look like now versus what you looked like then??" She said, her golden eyes flashing. No. He Loves you so much he never took another mate after you left. He misses you!! And I know it pains you both to be so far away from each other whether the distance is miles or time. I can see it in your eyes!!" She slammed the note down. Kagome looked at her daughter. Her eyes matched her fathers for intensity when she was upset. She sighed, resigned.
"Alright..." She said carefully. "Tomorrow morning then??" Yuki smiled brightly and nodded.
"Tomorrow morning." She repeated smiling. 'That's perfect. Father said he'd be waiting for me by the well tomorrow to insure that I come back. She'll never expect it.' Yuki thought as an innocent grin spread across her lips

He paced back and forth his eyes flashing in anger and worry. He was nervous. What was he nervous about?? That she wouldn't come back?? That she'd decided to stay gone just like her mother?? He growled at his own discomfort. He paced ofr what seemed like hours before a scent came to his nose. He stopped pacing and stood at the lip of the well. It was a scent he hadn't smelled in 15 years.
'Could it be??' He thought. His eyes widened as he reached into the well and grabbed someone's hand.

She had forgotten how peaceful the void between the times was. She almost felt disappointed when her feet hit solid ground. Kagome breathed int he clean air and she smiled. Yuki smiled at her. She gave her mother a boost up so she could climb out. As Kagome climbed up she fould herself grabbing ahold of a waiting hand. She gasped as the hand closed around her wrist and hauled her out of the well. She then found herself staring into a pair of golden eyes.

Sesshomaru's heart pounded as his fingers closed around her slinder wrist, hauling her out of the well. There stood the only woman he ever truly Loved. The only woman who held his heart. He stared deep into her sapphire eyes.
'Kagome.' He thought. He reached up and stroked the her cheek with the back of his hand. 'She has indeed grown older but she is still my beautiful onna.' She stared up at him with sad scared eyes. "Kagome." He said her name quietly as he were afraid to speak to loudly in for fear she might disappear. He leaned down and took her lips hungrily with his. It was only a matter of seconds before he smelled the salt of her tears and they were once again wrapped in each others embrace. Just as they were meant to be.
Yuki watched from the well smiling to herself.
'Mom got the man of her dreams, dad got the woman he's always wanted, and I got my familly back.' She smiled as they all made their way towards home. Yuki smiled at that thought. 'If this isn't a happy ending, I don't know what is.'
