Yasha was furious; no, he was absolutely pissed off. His face was a peculiar shade of reddish purple as he paced the room, unable to believe what the woman had told him. ‘What the fuck do you mean she can’t leave yet? You never said that when we talked and I told you I was coming for her.”
“You made me think you were coming to have a talk with her; not pack her up and traipse off to the post in Sector F14. She is under an inquiry and cannot go anywhere until it is concluded.” Kagura was firm in her statement, her eyes as hard as her voice. She had heard that Master Sergeant Tomogashi was obnoxious and pushy, but this was something completely unexpected. He was so going to pay for that chair he busted in his feral little hissy fit.
“Look, Kagura; I told you I have a promise to keep and you are trying to keep me from doing that. I don’t handle being told no very well, especially in something that involves my personal honor. You should have said something about her being held until the inquiry was over with. Now, I am stuck here until that panel of self righteous assholes decides to get the fucking lead out,” he growled at her, his eyes narrow with his displeasure at being trapped there. He hated this fucking place. “Do you even know what the hold up is?”
“Something about needing to go over the previous testimonies in the inquiry immediately following the attacks, or at least that is what they say anyway. I think they’re just grasping at straws because they know they have nothing they can use to give a guilty verdict. I’m just hoping that they don’t go over his journal entries again and put two and two together. You and I both know they will try to say that she offered them information in the hopes of keeping her child when it was born.”
Yasha shook his head then, his eyes as serious as it got. “No, she wouldn’t have. I may not know her very well personally, but from listening to my brother’s occasional ramblings about her and reading those journals, I can tell she would never do something like that. So, do you think you can get her a pass or something, just to get her out of here for a few days? The tension around here is so heavy and I just don’t want these fools doing something stupid. Headquarters or not, I will destroy this place if anyone harms a hair on her head Kagura.”
She looked genuinely shocked to hear that from the young Master Sergeant; he had only just met the woman named Kagome Higurashi and yet he was threatening the entire installation if she were to come to harm. “Such a strong threat for someone you don’t even know.”
“It ain’t a threat; I mean every damned word I said. I take giving my word very seriously. Try to get her a week at least, I need to talk to my Captain and I want to show her around the post, maybe introduce her to a few of the guys too. She ought to familiarize herself with the place, considering it will be her home after this is over.” He was calming down now, his breathing was evening out and his hands had relaxed from the tight fists that had once hung at his sides. “Oh, yeah; since I can’t stand this place or the people in it, I think you should try to light a fire under that panel. A guy could grow old waiting for their slow asses.”
Kagura sighed then, pinching the bridge of her nose, “Believe me, I am trying to. I don’t like this delay anymore than you do; it doesn’t exactly scream of victory you know. Go ahead and take her to your post for a week; just a week, Master Sergeant. I should send another one of our guards with her as a precautionary measure.”
That white head shook most vehemently in objection then; he did not want that inept moron anywhere close to the Lieutenant, for any reason at all. “Oh no; I do not want that Hojo idiot anywhere near her. He is nothing but a first class fuck up…”
She waved her hand dismissively, a rather annoyed look on her face. “Not him, he has been re-assigned; no, I was thinking of someone more trained. I have heard that she has several supporters that believe in her innocence…”
“Couldn’t tell it yesterday,” Yasha groused, “She stood alone against those three goons. Well, not alone really; she did have that negotiations geek with her.”
‘Yes, A C N Takeshi; he is a gifted orator, but fighter…? No, I was thinking of…” Kagura looked thoughtful then, searching her brain for just the right face and name. “Rigotta? I think that was his name; he offered to vouch for her with his Captain once this is over so she could join his company.”
“Which one is that?” he looked skeptical when he asked that. Truthfully, he was not impressed with the performance and reputation of any company there. The guy did his homework before arriving, wanting to know all about those that were housed within the facility…just in case.
Kagura’s eyebrow rose as she scanned a document she retrieved from the pile on her desk. “Firefox. I believe they are ranked the second top team…”
“Feh, my team could take ‘em,” he said childishly, arms crossed and all.
Eyes dancing with amusement, Kagura rested her chin upon hand. “I’m sure they could. Anyway, I know for a fact they won’t let her go a damned place without someone from this facility accompanying her. Let me talk to the brass and discuss this with Rigotta; I should have an answer for you come dinner time.” She sat back in her chair eyeing the handsome young man critically; he was impressive, that she had to admit. He knew how to carry himself, but the guy definitely had some growing up to do. She could not help but think that Yasha Tomogashi had to be the youngest damned Master Sergeant she had seen in her career.
“That’ll work. Now, one more thing; I want to take her to the Crescent compound…” If the woman wasn’t giving her all to clear the Lieutenant, Yasha would tear into her for interrupting him when he was speaking.
Any previous signs of approval for the guy instantly left her face as soon as she heard he wanted to take Kagome there. Was this idiot insane? Taking the woman there was definitely a very bad idea. “What in the seven hells would you want to take her there for?”
He raised his head high and his eyes darkened significantly as he began to see that one question as a sort of insult to his decision making process. He did not have to answer to this woman; he is the one that paid for her expenses her organization did not cover. “Because, she has to face her ghosts Kagura, that is why. She needs the closure she didn’t get way back when she saw her friends and her lover slaughtered.”
“I don’t think she is stable enough for something like that. With everything she went through then, and what she is going through now, she is emotionally unstable. ”
“She’s stronger than you give her credit for, believe me. She has to be strong, otherwise my brother wouldn’t have chosen her for Crescent Moon; he definitely wouldn’t have risked his career for her if she was weak either. What kind of red tape do I have to shred to make that happen?”
Eyes still wide, Kagura seemed uncharacteristically confused and she rather disliked not having any answers. It made her look bad to openly admit she did not know something. “I’m not sure; they sealed that compound up just after the ambush and went through it with a fine toothed comb to find clues about what happened to the group. They’re not too sure about what they are going to do with it really. No one wants to move their company into the place; they think it is cursed or something.”
“You mean they were looking for evidence that one of the team members was a traitor.” There was marked disdain in Yasha’s voice and it made Kagura’s eyes snap up from the folder she had retrieved from her desk.
“Okay, yes; that was what they were looking for,” she admitted with exasperation. Honestly, this guy could piss off a saint. “An elite company like your brother’s being completely annihilated like that, with no obvious clues as to who did it, how they did it, or why they did it, raises eyebrows.” God, the man should know all of that shit already; she should not have to explain the investigative process to him. She immediately prepared herself for a lengthy oration of procedures and wondering why no one had told the young man all of this seven odd years ago. Surely they sat him down and talked to him at length when he came to gather his elder’s belongings and fill out the necessary forms?
The man rolled his eyes then, very much aware of what Kagura was going to say to him. Oh, how he hated it when others treated him like he was a greenie. “Yeah, I know; the bastards who ambushed Crescent took all evidence linking them to the attack…I read the fucking reports the day they came to tell me my brother was dead. It took them long enough to discover the bastards’ identity, I’ll tell you that. Hell, I thought they were lying to me just so I wouldn’t go off and destroy the entire fucking Quadrant just to be sure I got the right ones.”
“Yes, well, you have to remember what it was like then; it’s not like they could go from territory to territory asking the leaders if they were the ones who wiped out an entire company of our men.” She put the file back in her drawer since it was obvious she did not need it now. The guy knew what she had been trying to say to him after all. “I’ll pull as many strings as I can to get you access…I’d say by noon. I can be very persuasive when I want to be.”
Yasha nodded his head as he headed for the door, wishing that he and his men could just be on their way back with the wench. It looked as though they might just be there another damned night though, and he was not looking forward to losing yet another night of sleep. He was still not convinced that this place did not watch those who served there while they slept.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She didn’t want to be there; she really didn’t want to be there at all. Kagome felt her blood chill from the soft creaking of the gate that separated Crescent Moon compound from the rest of the world and her brow beaded with sweat. Exactly how many beats per minute her heart rate increased by she could not say but she did know that it was many. Her feet faltered, refusing to move even a step; he had to insane bringing her here now of all times. She wasn’t ready for something like this. It may have been seven years since it happened, but to her it was all still so fresh. Kagome swallowed hard, her eyes scanning the inner courtyard and noting the place resembled a ghost town whose inhabitants, though they had long since departed, still remained within the walls of the place they had called home for so long.
Yasha nudged her forward, telling her to get going before they drew a crowd, and she did not even realize she had nodded in agreement, but she did notice her feet had begun to move. He offered her awkward encouragement through gentle yet firm words; they did not help her whatsoever.
“I visited this place after they told me what happened; it was the first time I had ever seen where my brother called home. It was just as creepy then as it is now.” His own eyes scanned the area as he prodded the Lieutenant forward into the center of the courtyard; feeling almost as ill at ease as she did. “Let’s just stand here for a few minutes and get our bearings, okay? It would help you if you talked about what you are feeling, or even some memories that come to mind.”
Just why she spoke then, she had no idea but she felt compelled to tell this man what it was she was thinking about, just as he had suggested. “I-It’s almost like I expect them to come stomping into the courtyard, full gear on and bitching about Himitsu’s big mouth getting them in trouble with the Captain…”
“One of those guys huh? Yeah, we have a couple of them in Black Dragon. Did you guys ever retaliate against him for pissing off your Captain?” Now they were getting somewhere, she was talking about the past. All he had to do was keep her talking and she was sure to get comfortable about being there.
Kagome nodded, “We did.”
“What else do you recall Lieutenant?”
Kagome took a few unsure steps toward the tall pole in the center of the courtyard; her eyes followed its length upward until she was straining her neck to see the very tip. “Our flag hung here, Fujimoto and Harris would have races to see who could get to the top and touch it; Harris was like quicksilver, but Fujimoto never gave up trying to beat him. It became a ritual of sorts; every week there was a new challenge and every week – Harris smoked his ass.”
Yasha chuckled then, shaking his head as if in disbelief. “I’m shocked my brother allowed something as juvenile as that. He was always so rigid and stuffy; the no nonsense kind of Captain.”
“No; that was just for those who didn’t live here behind these walls. Occasionally, he would take the challenge and kick both their asses. I’ve never seen anyone climb so fast before…” Those eyes of blue sparked with what could only be described as admiration for the guy she was speaking of. “He would let go once he reached the flag and just drop to the ground. None of the others would do that, not after Harris messed up his ankle trying to best the Captain. He limped around for two weeks…maybe that was why the Captain called him a pussy in his journals?”
That made Yasha burst out laughing; he could see his brother saying something like that. Maru had been a bit of a show off in their younger, school aged days. He watched her drift toward one of the buildings and he followed her, Frazier and Tanaka somewhere behind them. For a minute he thought she was going to go inside, but she stopped just shy of the steps, balking at the last second. “Hey, Frazier; why don’t you go back and procure us some beers? Not that nasty ass stuff they sell to everyone, tell them you want the good stuff they keep in the back for the brass. Give a fifty and that should make it right; I expect it to be iced…”
Once his man was gone, Yasha sat down on the steps with his forearms resting upon his thighs and sighed. “Sit down wench; we’re going to be here a while, so you might as well get comfortable.”
She hesitated, staring at the steps as if they would burn her if she put so much as a toe upon the bottom one. Her heart had not slowed its pace and she would swear that she had squeaked some sort of response out, but did not know what it was. Suddenly, Yasha’s hand shot out and grabbed her wrist; in an instant she was sitting beside him and when she tried to rise, he stopped her.
“Nope; you ain’t going anywhere. I had to a lot of bitching to get permission for us to be here and we have the entire fucking day, maybe the whole night too if we want. Stay right where you are wench; for the time being, I outrank you…remember that.”He wasn’t even looking at her when he said that and Kagome felt a spark of irritation; which was exactly what the guy had wanted from her.
“Hasn’t anyone ever told you you’re a pushy, obnoxious, ass Master Sergeant Tomogashi?”
Tanaka laughed and joined them on the steps, “I tell him that about three times a day; he doesn’t care. Thinks it is part of his charm.”
“It is part of my charm, ask anyone who knows me. I am loveable, in a 'make you want to throw things, and scream until you’re hoarse' kind of way. Now, let’s hear more about your time as a Crescent Moon, wench. Have to pass the time somehow until he gets back with the beer.” When he saw her confused face, he offered a suggestion to get the memories flowing. “Just, look around you and say whatever enters your mind.”
Taking his suggestion, Kagome allowed her eyes to wander, taking in the sights she had seen so many times in the past, but took for granted. Her mind sparked upon seeing the path that led to the field where the infamous obstacle course used to be. She wondered if it was still there, or if the brass had the thing dismantled after the attacks. “The Captain loved to make us run the course with full gear in the rain. It was his favorite disciplinary tactic I think. His journals spoke of how he would sit in his office and watch us while sipping brandy or coffee. He took great joy in seeing us slipping and falling on our asses; it was like watching a comedy from what he said.”
Tanaka sniggered then, not noticing the evil gleam in his Master Sergeant’s eyes. If he had seen it, he would not have found the Lieutenant’s tale so funny…he would have been afraid. Yasha made a mental note to talk to his Captain when he got back and discuss their own disciplinary tactics in detail; he had a few suggestions to make. After many long minutes, and a few amusing tales, had passed, he asked Kagome if she was ready to go inside the building yet; which instantly made the woman tense.
“You have to go in there sometime; it’s the reason why we are here. You can’t heal if you don’t.” He seemed so understanding right then, and he did understand her reservations about being there. It was painful for her, and it was a little painful for him as well; this was where his elder brother lived his life and even though Yasha and his half brother were not close, he was still his blood kin. That made it hard for the young Master Sergeant to be there; his own ghosts were lurking about just as much as the wench’s was.
It had begun to bother him that they were so distant with one another in the last three or so years before his brother met his untimely end, and he had entertained the idea of trying to bridge the gap that existed between them. He never got the chance for it seemed as though said half brother had no intentions or desire of making it happen. With Maru, one had to wait for him to initiate contact; one didn’t just approach him and make demands because that would get a person maimed. Yasha simply upped their correspondence by two or three phone calls or e-mails and hoped the guy would get the hint. It did seem as though Maru was taking said hint there for a while and then…he found something else to distract him. A five-foot-seven, raven-haired, blue-eyed, round in all the right places, something with legs to die for - and tits to kill over, made the guy forget about trying to strengthen his familial relationship with his half brother. Yasha couldn’t blame the guy really; hell he himself found the wench attractive, in a tomboy, girl-next-door kind of way. If the situation was reversed, he would have forgotten Maru in a heartbeat. The male genitalia had great influence and could make a guy do very appalling things.
Kagome pondered his words, weighing them within her mind and came to the conclusion that he was right, much as she hated to admit it. She did have to face the memories of hr past in order to try to move on and have some peace. After about four deep breaths and seven prayers to Kami for strength, she got to her feet and dusted off her trousers in order to delay the inevitable just a tad longer. Finally, she looked down at the white haired man and nodded her head, but did not say a single word.
It was like stepping back in time, walking in that door and seeing everything pretty much the same as when her company left that fateful day seven years prior. Except for the thick layer of dust that coated a few items, the rec hall looked as if her comrades would come storming in there any minute to relax after a tough day of drills and calisthenics. She felt both sets of eyes upon her, watching her every reaction to her surroundings and she moved away from them a bit, needing the distance to gather her bearings. In her mind, she could see Guiymin and Yoshida going at it on the pool table, a twenty riding on the outcome of the not so friendly game. Yoshida took her pool very seriously, even if there wasn’t any money involved. The balls were still in on the table, just where they had been that day they left. Guiymin had been in the process of trying to sink the eight ball…he would have lost; he always got too eager with such a shot and wound up scratching. Turning her eyes toward the southern most wall, she spied the shelf where Harris’ game console had once sat and she smiled. Man, he loved that thing so much; it was a running joke that he would marry the thing if he could. The guy was definitely addicted; she had never really understood the allure of such a thing, but she did get much entertainment from watching him get pissed off whenever he lost, be it to one of his comrades or to the computer itself.
Yasha allowed her to wander, giving her the moments she desperately needed to deal with all she was feeling. It had to be hard for her and if he interrupted her right now, it could make things worse on Kagome. People processed things at their own pace, rushing said pace would only destroy any progress that had been made. One thing was for sure, this was going a lot slower than he had anticipated; which he really did not care for, but knew it would produce results in the end. He heard her ask about the group photo that had once hung upon the western wall, the one that had every member of Crescent Moon standing at attention out in the compound in their formals. He told her it had been encased in a protective material and mounted to the memorial near the training field off of the motor pool.
“Didn’t anyone show it to you, Lieutenant?” asked Tanaka.
Kagome shook her head silently. No one had mentioned a memorial to her; not Kagura, not Shippou, not anyone. Smiling, she found herself wishing they had shown it to her; she bet it was nice. Frazier returned with the beers, carrying them in a medium sized tub full of ice; which amazed Kagome, he did not look like he could have managed it on his own. Frazier saw the expression on her face and grinned, telling her that he drove the jeep into the compound and carried the tub from there. She accepted the icy cold beverage, twisting the cap off rather easily; much to her own surprise. Just as she was about to take a much needed sip, Yasha stopped her.
“I think you should say a few words in respect to your comrades before we drink. You know, pay your respects since you could do it before now.”
Her bottle lowered then, and she darted her eyes from one guy to the next. They wanted her to say something? Make a sort of eulogy? She felt her eyes start to mist and she flitted her eyes back to the man who had caused it to happen; who shifted his weight from one foot to the other, squirming under her angry gaze. She hated being put on the spot like that. Besides, she was barely hanging on at the moment; anything she said was bound to be one of two things, and neither thing was pleasant to say the least. Still, he did have a point; she should say something about her friends and comrades; it was only fitting seeing how she missed their memorials both here and where their families had laid their remains to rest.
“Just say what’s in your heart,” said Frazier, offering her some comfort in her time of need. “It’s only the four of us here; we won’t laugh or think bad of you for what you say.”
Yasha made a note to give the guy a pat on the back for that, for it seemed to do the trick; she visibly relaxed and appeared to be thinking about what she wanted to say. The wench was fighting back tears, that much he could see; she would most likely lose the fight though, it was inevitable. These were her family they were talking about; they looked out for one another, supported one another, and regularly depended on one another for their survival – it was bound to be difficult for her to keep it together. Even though he absolutely hated tears, Yasha decided he could tolerate them in this instance, for he definitely understood them.
Finally, Kagome raised her head up to speak, her eyes shining with the tears she was fighting with all she had in her. God, how she hoped she could get the words to come out right. Her insides shook but her hands remained steady as she cleared her throat; she was certain she was about to sound like a complete idiot, but Frazier had given her the confidence to say what she felt she must.
“It was an honor to serve with each and every one of you; all of you were more than my comrades, you were my friends…my family. You taught me the meaning of the word and I will be forever grateful to each and every one of you for that. I am so very proud to be able to say that I was allowed to know all of you personally, and that I was a part of Crescent Moon. We were the best of the best, the most elite company in the forces and held the respect and admiration of all that knew us, but even that was not enough. You will not be forgotten, my friends and comrades; your memory and reputation for excellence will live on as example to future generations to follow.” Her bottle raised once more in salute to her fallen comrades, “Until we meet again.”
No one said a ward as they joined her in saluting the fallen, raising their own bottles as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Four and a half hours, three games of pool, and four beers later, Kagome felt as though she was going to pass out. No, it wasn’t because of the alcohol; it was because Yasha decided she should continue her journey into the painful past. She had been okay with going to the obstacle course and seeing it had in fact been dismantled, save for the infamous wall; it did not bother her that much. The barracks were a bit of a struggle for her, but she managed to hold it together while she sipped her fourth beer. As she had stood in there gazing around at the stripped bunks, their cold metal frames naked and bare, she felt a small rise of anxiety that she wrestled with for a few uncomfortable moments before shoving it deep down inside of her. After that, it was a bit easier. She swore she could hear Ueda humming while she made her bunk, Fujimoto joining in as he groomed himself for a trip into town with Harris. From the corner of her eye she saw something she would bet her recovery compensation was Himitsu sitting on his own bunk meditating. When she turned her head to her right though, there was nothing there but bare bunk. Great, was she going insane now? That would be a real kick in the head, losing it now that she had been released from her seven year long stint in hell.
However, Yasha then led her to the one place she had vowed she would not step foot in no matter what. No. She could not handle going in there…not in there. He couldn’t make her go in; she would refuse to, even grab onto the door frame if she had to. There was no fucking way she could walk into his office…his quarters; this was just too damned much for her, Yasha had to know that. Either Yasha was just being cruel, or the bastard was a complete, fucking moron; he should realize what it would do to her to walk in there. One gentle push and…she pushed right back, hard. No one could make her do anything she didn’t want to, not anymore anyway. The guy stared at her with wide eyes and open mouth, unable to believe she had actually shoved him like that. Too bad; he shouldn’t have shoved her first.
“Just what in the fuck do you think you are doing, wench?”
“I don’t want to go in there; I told you that a thousand times…okay, not a thousand times, but several times. I’m not ready for this.”
“Yes you are ready; you’re just too chicken to do it is all. That speech you gave about learning the meaning of strength and courage; was it just bullshit or what?”
“No it wasn’t bullshit; it was the truth, every word of it!” she screeched, her shrill voice reverberating off the walls. She looked from Yasha to Frazier, to Tanaka, and back again; her eyes narrowed upon the last one, invisible daggers shooting from her eyes.
“Don’t look at me that way,” he growled at her. It then occurred to him that perhaps there were too many spectators for her tastes, and so he dismissed the two men behind him, telling them to go wait in the rec hall, but not to drink up all the beer. Once they left, he stepped toward her, softening his vice by only a smidgeon or two, “Now, it’s just you and me wench. I went in there seven years ago…it’s your turn now.”
Still she glared at him, feet planted firmly on the floor beneath them. “No.”
“Wench,” he began somewhat impatiently, “don’t make me do something you will regret.”
Kagome lifted her chin defiantly, openly challenging the young Master Sergeant; it was not the best thing for her to do right about then. In a flash, the guy lifted her up and tossed her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, and then he carried her stunned ass over the threshold and into the very place had she refused to go into. Yasha carried her over to the huge chair behind the desk and set her down, holding her in place by her shoulders.
“Now, look around you; see this room as he did back then. Go on. Look at that empty book case - but imagine it filled, just as it was seven years ago,” he spoke firmly to her, swiveling the chair in the direction of the bookcase he spoke of, and then turning that chair toward the window, “look out at the obstacle course and see Ueda, Himitsu, and the others running it in a downpour, slipping and sliding in the muck and the mud.” He turned her once again and forced her to look at the fireplace mantle where a huge assed painting of some man she did not know used to hang. “Can you see the painting of dad hanging there? Not so scary now, is it?”
She shook her head slightly, forcing her breathing to slow down so that her heart to follow suit. Her fingers relaxed upon the arm rest, her knuckles returning to their original color; she felt Yasha pat her shoulders and heard him tell her to just sit there quietly for a few moments so she could calm down. She did not argue with him. As she did what she was told she recalled the entry in her lover’s journal she had read earlier that day whole waiting for Yasha to return form talking to Kagura. Kagome remembered that day he spoke of, for it was the day he told her what happened that night in the abandoned shack could never be repeated…ever. The Captain told her that although he did not regret what happened, it had been a complete disregard for the regulations and therefore could not happen again. The odd thing was though, until he had called her into his office that day, she had not dared to even entertain the notion that it could happen again. She was no fool and she had been very aware of the fact there would be hell if anyone found out about it and so, she had simply accepted it.
However, sitting there in the chair that Yasha sat in now, she had seen something in his eyes that simply screamed of both regret and disappointment to her. He did not want to be telling her it could not happen again; he actually hated saying that to her, and she could see it. It was then she had dared to suggest that they keep it a closely guarded secret and only indulge whenever their frustrations became too much to bear. His words he had written in relation to her suggestion had made her smile.
‘Never in all my years of life had I been struck speechless, yet there I sat simply staring at her and not knowing what to say. I could not believe she had suggested such a thing, it seemed so out of character for her, but I did not reject it either. Since that night, I had been plagued with the memory whenever I found myself with a moment or two to myself. Two weeks it had been since she gave herself to me…twice, and I found myself yearning for her sweet young body whenever I closed my eyes at night. What she had given me that night was something I had needed for a very long time; she gave me an outlet that instilled complete and utter peace between my mind and my soul.
Despite every warning that sounded inside of my head, I shamefully agreed with her seemingly impeccable logic; if we were careful, no one would find out. Just why I was so willing to risk everything for her was unclear, but I found myself finding reasons why we should engage in a sex only relationship. Ours was not the most peaceful and stress free career choices; there were times when I, myself, felt over stretched and pulled taut to the point of tearing apart. Perhaps having a suitable outlet would be as beneficial as it sounded? She seemed to have no qualms about it so, why should I? There was something about the Lieutenant that told me she would not be one for engaging in random sexual activities, and so the possibility of sloppy seconds or the transmission of disease was highly unlikely. Clearly, she is as particular as I am and, so, this could definitely work to both of our advantages.
I immediately found my mind running down the company’s schedule right then; they were all otherwise engaged, one half running the course and the other half on a hike…they would not be done for a while. Moving my chair back from my desk, I leveled my eyes on her and told her to stand up; which she did without hesitation. How glad I was that she had been excluded from the schedule, owing to a need for a trip to the infirmary for her annual physical. Without a word, my eyes lowered to her trousers and she understood the gesture. In mere moments she was bare from the waist down…and I tried desperately to remember where I had stored my supply of condoms.
Her inexperience still showed in her movements, but the lust was quickly clouding those sapphire orbs and it helped to ease her somewhat. God, it felt so good to have her straddling me in my chair…those kisses tasted just as sweet as they did the first time I sampled them. In no time her breasts were bared and under attack, her tight velvet walls almost choking my poor, long neglected cock. I do believe I lost all sense of reality then, the last coherent thought I had being the question of whether or not the door was secured…
Damn, even through the condom I could feel those scorching walls, and I was ever so grateful to the guy who invented this particular brand; I would most definitely be stocking up in the near future. If we were to do this, we had to make sure to prevent any ‘accidents’ from occurring ,for there would be no possible explanation as to why my Lieutenant’s newborn child looked like me…the hair was hereditary, as were the eyes. It was so fucking difficult to keep her quiet; she seemed intent on screaming for me. Normally, I would not have cared; I enjoy hearing that voice in the throes of passion, and could listen to it for hours. However, the chance of being overheard was far too great and so I had to shut her up; it wasn’t as completely disappointing as I thought it would be. Her screams and moans tasted rather nice, I have to say.
When we were done, we cleaned up and I felt such a feeling of dread wash over me as I watched her walk out my door. Something told me she would be the end of me...someday. Ironically, I instantly found myself planning our next get together; which did shock me more than a little, but only because we had agreed to only indulge when the frustrations of our career choice became too much to bear. Yasha waved his hand in front of her face, trying to draw her back to reality. “Hey; earth to the wench; come in wench.”
Kagome made the guy cringe as she turned her eyes his way, “What?”
“Don’t snap at me; you’re the one who checked out, not the other way around. Just be glad I’m not taking offense to having to sit here while you wandered off on some pervy assed mind trip. Oh damn, she had forgotten that he most likely had access to his brother’s journal as well. Did he read it? She could not recall if he had said he did or not. Gods, how she hoped he had more respect, not to mention common decency, than to do something like that. One look into his shining golden eyes made her heart sink low into her gut. He read it.
Fuck.
