This is my first attempt at something funny. Please be kind. And one more note: there is some body-switching here...sorry for any potential confusion

A Red-faced Dog-demon

The day the world ended started out as any other day did in Feudal Japan. Birds sang and critters everywhere bounded around with unequivocal gaiety. The air was fresh and clean, not at all marred by the smoking remains of a rather large boar demon.

“Ha! I knew I’d be able to do it! How about that, Kagome?” Inuyasha grinned almost sappily towards the priestess standing near the rest of the group. The girl in question tapped her foot on the ground and crossed her arms.

“Yes, yes, I know you can kill demons with your sword. How is this getting us closer to finding a cure for the damned mess we’re in...?” Kagome rolled her eyes, her tone biting and a bit mean. Inuyasha’s ears drooped.

“I thought that since we are stuck in each other’s bodies, we might as well get used to it or something. Who knows how long that witch’s spell will last.” ‘Inuyasha’ commented, running his fingers through his hair before deciding to twirl it girlishly.

“Stop doin’ that! You are makin’ me look like a girl!” The priestess aka Inuyasha growled at his companion. Kagome growled more convincingly.

“I am a girl, stupid!” The priestess curled her fingers around the still transformed Tetsusaiga. “I’m not the one dumb enough to provoke the son of a witch, Inuyasha.” Kagome looked particularly smug, holding Tetsusaiga up on her shoulder.

The half-breed, stuck in Kagome’s body, openly scowled at his friend. “Well, if you had kept your loud mouth shut, we wouldn’t have stopped to help him in the first place! Kikyo would have known not to help the brat.”

Kagome fumed, hating to be compared to her dead incarnation. “Inuyasha…SIT BOY!!!” Inuyasha knew this was coming and smirked as the spell didn’t work.

“Ha! Can’t subdue me now, can you?!?” Inuyasha cackled madly. Kagome scowled angrily, tears forming in her eyes. “You are such a jerk!” The air grew a bit crackly as the rest of their group joined them.

“Inuyasha…surely you are not crying as a weakling would, hmm?” Sesshomaru glided into the clearing, barely glancing at ‘Kagome’. His icy glare was all for ‘Inuyasha.’

“Sesshomaru, you bastard! That ain’t me!” The girl launched herself at the demon lord, mimicking Inuyasha’s sloppy attack. The half-breed slowly realized that he wasn’t in the right body as he was caught in midair by a clawed hand around his neck.

“Girl, are you suicidal?” Sesshomaru glared at ‘Kagome’. Before he could get an answer from the sputtering girl, the demon lord felt a rather uncomfortable sensation coming from his bottom region.

“Eee…let me explain, Sesshomaru…” ‘Inuyasha’ had jumped behind him, faster than Sesshomaru had thought possible and pulled up his hakama and fundoshi and –yanked- upwards. The demon’s face grew extremely red as embarrassment broke through his superb control on his emotions.

At this time, the spell reached its limit and Kagome and Inuyasha found themselves switched back.

Kagome squirmed out of Sesshomaru’s hold and yelled, “SIT BOY, SITSITSIT!!!” The half-breed dropped down and slammed into the ground repeatedly before the offended demon lord could gut her friend.

Sesshomaru rounded on Kagome, grabbing her hand and pulling her close to him. Baring his teeth, he inquired. “You dare humiliate this Sesshomaru? For what reasons have you decided to forfeit your existence?”

The priestess gulped audibly and eeped, trying to get away. “Well, the…there was this witch…and Inuyasha made her angry and she cursed us…” The demon lord tightened his grip on Kagome’s wrist.

“Ow, ow…it was the only thing I could think to do before you…ehm…killed Inuyasha…and harmed my body.” Kagome prayed to the Kami that Sesshomaru believed her. For several agonizing seconds, the demon lord kept a hold on the priestess’s wrist, his nose working slightly, as if to sniff out the truth.

Finally, Sesshomaru smirked slightly, making Kagome back away a bit. “This Sesshomaru believes you, priestess. But there will be retribution…” The demon lord let Kagome go and motioned for her to turn around.

Kagome’s eyes widened and she was about to refuse when she caught sight of the murderous intent gleaming in Sesshomaru’s gaze. Turning around, she faced the woods. The demon lord came up behind her and then…gave her the most painful wedgie she had ever experienced.

The priestess groaned in humiliation and pain and waddled around to view Sesshomaru. But the demon was already gone, leaving her alone in the clearing with Inuyasha. Said half-breed groaned and twitched, unable and unwilling to say anything about what just happened.

Kagome wondered just what would have happened to her had anyone else had witnessed what just transpired. She waddled over to a log and sat down, rubbing her bottom.
