When her fiancé left for business, she assured him she’d be fine. He hadn't believed her. 

He was right.

Kagome was in a rather... embarrassing accident involving grocery bags, stairs, and garbage. She was using crutches to support her broken leg.

Her fiancé, however, was not amused. She could not put her finger on his rather distant behavior. She thought his protective instincts would kick in. Though he was still taking care of her, Sesshomaru wasn't himself. He was usually more... physical. Sure, he was known for his stoic visage, but he had opened up to Kagome. He wasn't as emotionless as people thought. In fact, Sesshomaru was very affectionate. As a dog should be.

But NOW it was a different story. He hadn't playfully touched her, hugged her, or groped her. NOTHING! Kagome had to be in this cast for five weeks, but she didn't have to be celibate!

Said taiyoukai walked in. 

"Sesshomaru, wanna sign my cast?" Confusion marred his chiseled features. "I wanna keep it for memories sake."

He was disgusted. "Miko, there are many other scented items that I would rather keep around the house."

She bent over and sniffed. Kagome choked. Oh, so THAT’S why.
