He had done it again. Ever since that scathing remark she had made about his dog-like behaviour a week earlier, he seemed to take it as a challenge to see how far he could go before she snapped.

It had been a joke for goodness sake! She hadn’t meant for him to take it literally!

“This Sesshomaru is a dog demon, woman. And this Sesshomaru does what is necessary to establish his dominance and maintain his territory.”

And establish he damn well did, much to the embarrassment of the raven-haired woman who had caught him in the act eighteen times in the past seven days.

He had been doing it everywhere.

In the gardens, the driveway, the local bus stop situated not twenty metres from the house…

And as of yesterday, even the local bloody park! With witnesses!

He had received a harsh scolding for that one. No woman wanted to be called at seven-thirty on a Sunday morning to pick up their mate who had been locked up overnight for stupidity.

“Should have left the idiot there,” Kagome mumbled to herself, marching across the gravel path leading around the back of the house. “Might have taught him a thing or two.”

As she rounded the corner, what she saw had her cheeks going pink and her temper flaring.

Against a pipe attached to the back wall of the house was a transformed Sesshomaru. Legs spread, a clearly smug expression on his doggy face.

Oh my god, she was going to KILL HIM!

“SESSHOMARU!” She shrieked, storming up to him. “FOR THE LAST TIME, WHEN I SAID THAT AT LEAST YOU DIDN’T PISS ON THINGS TO MARK YOUR TERRITORY, IT WASN’T TO BE TAKEN AS A CHALLENGE!”
