My Fault

I uploaded this story awhile back, I’d forgotten that I hadn’t edited the final touches in this story and I would like to thank two people who kindly pointed it out to me, a big thank you too you both!! I also would like to point out this is not a happy go lucky story so if you disagree, please don’t get mad.  Also thank-you, a very big thank-you for reading this story.

My Fault   

Sesshomaru Stood at the edge of the clearing staring down at the woman who had become his mate after they had finished Naraku for the last time, Now they were fighting once again all over his use of the geisha house when she had gone  home to her family in the future. Seriously how could he help his bodily issues, She wasn’t always going to help him solve his hard-on’s. If he remembered correctly she’d turned down the last time saying she was tired and now when he had finally approached her after a month of not touching her simply because she would sigh, shrug his hand off and walk off on him leaving him behind when he simply wanted a hug or a kiss on the cheek. Now he was unsure if she really wanted to be his mate anymore.

“So what were you doing in the Geisha House huh? Sesshomaru, Answer me!!!!” Kagome fisted her hands, afraid she would slap him the man whom she had fallen in love with slowly over the years. Now she’d come back home to find him gone and had heard from one of her trusted servants that He had gone to one of his favorite geisha houses to sate his bodily needs, she knew she hadn’t been having sex with him lately and that was her fault she admitted silently. She remembered all the times in the past he had tried to approach her only to have her shrug him off before she left for her family visit once every month.

He turned his head away from her that bit more, She stormed over grabbed his hair and yanked his face around to face her’s. He simply closed his eyes, afraid of the emotion he’d show her how he felt. In his heart it felt like she didn’t love him anymore, that she didn’t want him anymore, didn’t want him to be the father of her future children, it was breaking him yet he kept his mouth and eyes closed. He couldn’t zone her out it wasn’t possible and it would simply break his heart even more.

She gazed upon his face, anger shaking her body, he wouldn’t answer her, wouldn’t look at her. Was it the thing’s she had done over the past two months that caused him to go to the geisha house for his bodily needs? Was it emotional needs that had caused him to go to the geisha house? What had caused it she didn’t understand, it was obvious he wasn’t going to tell her. Gazing up at him with his mouth clamped shut, his eyes purposely closed so he couldn’t look upon her, she felt her heart contract painfully and a single tear slid down her cheek.

“Was it because of me? Was it my fault you needed to go there for your needs? Tell me please…Sesshomaru…Please!!”.

Stepping away from him, letting go of his hair she continued to gaze upon him. Twisting her hands together so she didn’t touch him again she waited for his answer. He opened his eyes and looked down at her showing her what emotions he felt, she gasped and took a step towards him, he took a step back from her and gave a tiny shake of his head, he didn’t want her near him right now. She closed her eyes and took a few steps back from him letting the hurt go through her, she’d put that look in his eyes, the hurt, the dis-trust, and the sadness. She took in a breath the answer was in his eyes, why he went to the geisha house, he sought comfort and  the release from his bodily needs while she had ignored his needs and feelings all while she hurt thinking he didn’t want her around anymore so she had gone home to her family to see her mother and ask her mother’s beloved advice.

Flashback

 She climbed up the well to her family’s house, taking in the familiar smells. Sitting on the edge she took a look around nothing had changed since she had been here last month, this was her monthly visit that her love let her have while he patrolled his lands. Climbing up the stairs she slid open the door to find nothing had changed at her mother’s house, everything was the same. Closing the door behind her, she began the walk to her house, opening the door and placing her things near the door she took a look in the kitchen to find her mother sipping tea.

“Hi mum….”

Her mother looked up then and smiled at her dear daughter and patted a chair beside her.

“Welcome home dear. How have you been?” She said while pouring her daughter a tea also.

“Oh mum….. I don’t know what to do anymore.”

Her mother frowned slightly, her lips turning down at the corners.

“What happened dear?”

Kagome sighed and twisted her hands together.

“It’s Sesshomaru and Me, Mum. It’s grown distant between us, I can’t stand it and it’s all my fault.”

  Her mother sighed and put down her tea, reaching across she pulled her daughter into a hug and soothing rubbed circles on her back while Kagome proceed to cry on her shoulder.

“Come now dear, it’ll be alright. Come on now tell me what happened...”.

And so Kagome proceed to tell her mother what had be happening at her home with Sesshomaru.

Later on

Her mother frowned again and took a sip of her tea, and then she spoke.

“Kagome…From what you’ve told me, it seems that your pushing Sesshomaru away…Is that what you really want? To push away the man I mean demon who’s given you everything that you’ve ever wished for even his heart and from what I’ve heard from Inu yasha, Sesshomaru doesn’t seem the type to so easily give away his heart nor trust so easily.”

Kagome felt the tears slid down her cheeks and nodded her head, it was true everything her mother had said so far. Reaching across her mother grabbed her daughters hand clasped it in hers and looked her in the eyes.

“Now young miss, I believe it’s time you went home to a certain demon lord and apologize and tell him you love him for everything that’s dear in you. And if it comes to groveling dear, then I suggest you do that because if I was that demon well…..I’ll leave my words at that. Now go, quickly now!!”

And Kagome proceed to heed her mother’s words and run fleeing towards her beloved well to the demon she loved.

Flashback ended

So now she stood here, realizing this was all her fault. Turning once again to the demon she loved she dropped to her knee’s and held out her hands.

“Sesshomaru I’m so sorry, this is all my fault. I did this to us, It’s my fault I know that you Probably don’t want to listen to me now, I wouldn’t either but please hear me out. I love you, I always have and always will and I pushed you away because I was afraid you wouldn’t love me anymore if I told you, that I wanted to start a family, I was afraid that you’d turn away from me and find somebody else to love and start a family with. I know it seems stupid but that was what I feared and still do. Please I know how hard this is and it’s breaking my heart to see you like this but…bu-but” She started to sob and shake.

“If y-you wish t-to leave me f-f-for somebody else I can understand.”

Her eyes blurred with the tears leaking out of her eyes, as she watched him turn his head to stare down at her. His eyes seemed to harden now and then he turned and in a flash disappeared from the clearing that had once been where they had regularly made love. Collapsing down on the ground she cried her heart out and then cried so more.

Several Hours later…

Kagome picked herself up from the ground and made her way towards the castle, stumbling over rocks and ditches. Tree branches snapped along her body and face but she didn’t care, stumbling into the clearing that contained her beloved castle she made her way to the gates. The guards took one look at her and issued a maid to help her inside. Travelling through the western ward she made her way to her old room that been kept how she left it before she moved in with Sesshomaru, the maid pushed open the door and helped her Lady to the edge of her old bed. The maid proceed to dress her Lady in her bed-time clothing and then helped her settle into bed, it was obvious that both the lord and lady had a argument and the entire castle had seen how the lord had come home. Storming up through the castle he had told his guards that no one was permitted into his study not even the lady who had access to all parts of the castle. So the maid sat beside the bed in a chair to watch over her lady whom appeared to be restless and broken-hearted.

“Poor dear…It appears the distant between them has finally called forth an argument.”

The maid stroked the lady’s hair and begin to hum a tune the soothed the lady so that she could sleep peacefully.

Two days later…..

Kagome finally came out of her room and proceed out to the garden, she had already had breakfast in her room she had not wanted to see if Sesshomaru was in the dining hall. Watching Rin play in the garden she sat beside her favorite Koi-pond, watching idly as the fish swam around in a variety of colours when she felt her beloved’s youki enter the garden. Standing she moved quickly, masking her presence from him as she knew he was still angry at her, to the wild half of the garden and hide behind a large tree. Watching as he played with Rin as she put flowers in his hair, smiling fondly at the sight. When he looked in her direction she quickly hide behind the tree and stayed there this time, waiting until his youki and Rin’s presence was gone, did she come out of her hiding place from behind the tree. Looking around slightly like a frightened deer, did she move forward from that part of the garden towards the servant’s entrance, not knowing her lord looked on from his study. Watching as she opened the door to the servant’s quarter’s, looking behind her as if it were her last visit to a sacred place before she disappeared behind the door.  

Enough he had decided to was time he spoke to her, it was obvious his mate had hidden herself from him in the garden when she had felt his presence. She had even waited for Rin to leave for lunch before she came out of her hiding place behind the large tree in the wild-side of the garden, like a frightened deer she had come out of her hiding place he noted. Now he awaited her in her old room which he knew she was to arrive very soon. Suddenly the door swung open and in she stepped not noting him as she went to sit at her dresser, he watched as she took out the hair accessories from her hair and proceed to brush it. Watching as she sighed and then touched a photo, realizing it was a photo of them before this had all happened, slowly walking towards her he heard her gasp when she had looked up from their photo and back into the mirror. Now she watched him in the mirror not daring to turn around afraid he wasn’t real, as of late her mind had been playing tricks on her, or was it her heart? She didn’t know. Watching as he stopped two steps away from her, she turned around slowly afraid that maybe he wasn’t real. Realizing he was she released a happy sigh and took in the sight of him, from the tip of his head right down to his feet. Having her fill of him she moved her eyes back up to meet his molten golden ones, wondering why he was here.

He looked back down at her, moving his hand out to touch her cheek watching as she moved her cheek into his hand more. She sighed happily again, without a doubt he had missed her the most these last few days, his mind taking him back to when she had told him in that clearing how much she still loved him. Lowering his head down to hers he kissed her forehead in a tender-loving way while his hand still lingered on her cheek. She had closed her eyes in bliss, the corners of her lips turning up happily as she relished his touch.

“Kagome….mate, how I’ve missed you...”

  Opening her eyes stared at him, had he forgiven her?

“Have…you forgiven me?”

He nodded his head, it was time they put all these things behind them and move on with their life together. She jumped up into his arms and hugged him whole heartedly when he spoke once again.

“Kagome ,mate I’m sorry about everything! Now about those pups you wanted?”He smirked down at her, the gleam had returned to his eyes at last. She blushed and nodded her head.

“But sesshomaru..”She gulped and fiddled with her hands.

“I’m already3 months pregnant”.  His eyes widened in surprise and then he pulled her towards him to shower her with kisses and cuddles.

“Come we must declare that you are pregnant!” He smiled one of his pure heart-stopping smiles and she nodded. Together they left her old room to finally start that family they have both longed for so long. Kagome turned her head once more to look back at the photo that she had taken when they had first gotten together all those years ago before turning back to her love and smiled at him glad the fighting was finally over for them both.
