 He turned back towards the house once more hoping to see her face. He didn’t want to leave, didn’t want to be apart from this woman who had slipped so quickly into his life. But she was right what they were doing was wrong in the eyes of her church.

 He could still taste the bitterness of her tears on his lips and could still the heartbreak in her words when she’d told him they no longer could meet as she was going to leave for the convent later in the week.

 Sesshomaru would go but he’d never regret what they’d shared.
