The moonlight shined across the field of white flowers. Kagome sat in the middle, dressed in the traditional garments of the Shinto wedding dress. The ceremony between she and Inuyasha had just finished hours ago and the celebration had just begun to wind down. She had decided to take a break from the chaos and walked into the nearby field. The flowers glowed beautifully under the moonlight. She gently pulled her hand from her robes and caressed a petal. She felt the gentle brush of a powerful demonic aura as her hand slid away from the petal.
Kagome's head snapped up and she looked around frantically for the source of the aura within the forest. Finding nothing, she felt a gentle breeze behind her back as she turned around facing the moon. As she searched for the source of the aura, she found something odd in her peripheral vision. Focusing on it, she picked up a single red rose amongst the white wild flowers. She noticed that thorns had been removed and small slip of paper was tied to it.
To the Bride,
May you stay as radiant as this flower in the coming years.
S.
Kagome lifted the flower to her nose just as she was about to call out to mysterious flower bringer, Inuyasha crashed through the forest calling her name. She replied to him and turns to face his entry as he burst through the forest looking frantic. She smiled at her new husband and opened her arms to him. Inuyasha walked slowly into her embrace.
The couple remained oblivious to citrine eyes that watched the couple with slight envy before the form lifted up into the night.
