“What are we gonna do with all this crap!?” Kagome glanced around the room. About ten fruitcakes littered the floor.

“I wonder which relatives we should mail these to…” Taking a moment to think, she was startled by the silence in the house.

Misaki and Akihiko had been teething, and nothing was strong enough against their hanyou teeth. They spent most of their time wailing their pain. Now, however, it was suspiciously quiet.

The sounds of slurping met her ears, and she turned to look down at her two youngest. Each cuddled a fruitcake, their tiny teeth gnawing on the hard…stuff (because it can’t really be called food).

“Well…” Kagome began, “There’s an unexpected solution.”
