Author Note: Another story started. I have some great plans for this story. Tell me what you think of it so far, please?
Kagome was your typical human girl. Well, at least she was until one day her brother brought home an Ouija Board. The boy played with it for all of a day when he ran, screaming, away, from it. Her brother was not easily scared, so she wanted to know what had caused it. “Souta, what is wrong?” Kagome asked. Souta just looked horrified.
“It is evil, that board is truly evil,” he said sobbing. Kagome didn't believe him. She had never really believed in ghosts or spirits. Even with living on a shrine, she didn't think that there were anything such as the undead. She wanted to see if what he was saying was the truth. Even with understanding that the game was just that. She also knew that it was controlled by what you subconsciously wanted it to say. That is why she was going to call her friend, Sango, over to help her. Sango, was one of those people that believed in ghosts and things. Though, unlike most, she actually liked them.
“Souta, may I have the board?” Kagome asked. She was so sure that he was going to give it to her, but he shook his head, no.
“It is evil, we must get rid of it,” Souta said, tears streaming down his face. Kagome found out the perfect plan. She would deceive her brother, then it would be hers.
“Souta, may I take care of it for you then?” Kagome asked. Souta gladly, said yes. Kagome skipped away and took the board to her room. Souta wasn't watching so she didn't think he would know. Even if he did know, there was nothing that could be done now. The board looked just like any other Ouija Board. It was an antique one though, and that surprised her.
“Hey Souta, where did you get this thing?” Kagome called to her little brother. He didn't dare come in her room, knowing, that the board was there.
“I found it in the attic. I always wanted one, so I picked it up and took it with me,” he said. Eying the board with terror-filled eyes. Kagome nodded, her grand-father had several relics around. The board wouldn't even be the oddest of things that he had up there. The only thing that was bothering Kagome, was that he had never mentioned it. Her grandfather loved telling her about the 'magical' things he kept up in the attic. Kagome just put it down to the being that it really wasn't anything special. Kagome dismissed her younger brother, who was all to happy to comply.
Kagome reached for her phone, and dialed Sango's number. Once Sango picked up, she did the necessary pleasantries before telling her, “Sango, you really need to come over her. I have found something amazing.” Once Sango heard these words she quickly said she would be right over. Sango lived within walking distance, so she didn't need to worry about a ride over.
Kagome grinned with excitement, when she heard the door bell ring. She got off of the bed, the Ouija Board fell to the floor. Kagome put it to the shift of her bed, from her getting off of it. Placing it back on the bed, she went to get the door. Once Sango and Kagome got up to her room, Sango gasped. “Kagome where did you find one?” she asked in wonder. She had always wanted to play with one.
“Apparently, Souta found it upstairs. I was surprised that gramps didn't tell me about it he seems fascinated by such things,” Kagome said. When she had said that her grandfather was fascinated by those types of things she was referring to the old objects. Kagome watched as Sango gingerly touched the board.
“Can we play with it?” Sango asked, excited. Kagome nodded, that was what she had brought her over her for, anyway. They situated themselves around the Ouija board, and placed their hands on the planchette. It vibrated slightly, and grew warmer. This shocked both of the girls in the room. They knew that, it wasn't supposed to do that. Shrugging it off Kagome was the first to voice a question.
“Does this actually work?” Kagome asked. Sango shot her a look that said, 'nice next ask it if there is something there!' Kagome smiled and looked down at the answer, yes. Sango wasn't satisfied with the question so she had to ask her own.
“Who is in this room?” she asked. Sango knew how the boards worked. But she wanted to see if it would do what she expected. She expect it to spell out hers and Kagome's names, but it didn't. The one I will have, and the one I will make leave. Sango took her hand back from the board. Kagome didn't seem fazed at all. She kept her hand on the planchette.
“Does this really work?” Kagome asked it again. No. It answered.
“There, see Sango it doesn't really work. Your just getting worked up over nothing,” Kagome assured her. Sango sat back down and began to use the board again. Everything was normal until Sango voiced her next question.
“What am I afraid of?” Sango asked. She wasn't really afraid of anything so she wanted to see what it would say. Me. It answered. Kagome sighed she knew that Sango was probably bothered by the board. While Kagome saw nothing but the wooden face of the board, Sango saw something vastly different. The face was pale, with two red slashes on each cheek, and a crescent moon on the head. It smirked at her evilly. Sango jumped up, and ran towards the door.
“Kagome, you need to get rid of that thing. It is evil,” Sango advised from the door frame. Kagome didn't heed her advice. Sango didn't want to see her friend hurt; however, she didn't want to be near that board. She hurriedly ran from her friends house, and went into her room. There on her bed, she saw a man sitting on her bed. His face was the same as was the one on the board.
“The one I have, and the one I made leave,” he said before vanishing. Sango was petrified. She dared not call Kagome. She feared hearing the chilling voice of the man. She had to find something to help Kagome with though. They had been friends since Kindergarten there was no way she could just let her be taken by that evil thing.
Kagome shook her head. Sango was always blowing things out of proportion. “You really aren't that bad are you?” she asked the board. She didn't think that the board would lie, boy was she wrong. No, I am not bad. The being inside the board grinned. Soon he would be released, and this girl would rule by his side.
