Kagome was tuning her bass guitar while the rest of her group were always intending to their instruments. Her grayish blue eyes looked over to her best friend, Sango, who was also playing bass guitar as well. Her raven black hair was tied in a ponytail as her dark brown eyes were narrowed in concentration.

Kagome's eyes then focused on the red-haired girl, Ayame, who was another one of her best friends. Her red hair in ponytails while her emerald green eyes sparkle playfully as she testing out her new drum set and oak drumsticks.

Talking and vocalizing was going on in the back of the room as Kagome looked at Shippou, who was trying to get his part right as Clef was going over it with them. Shippou also played bass, but he also helps write the songs with their songwriter and keyboardist, Clef writes.

Shippou had his reddish brown hair tied in a ponytail while his emerald green eyes were focus on the lyrics while Clef had long ivory white hair that went to her waist and pointy dog ears that twitch ever so slightly. Her dark amber eyes were focus on sheet of music as she went over with it with Shippou.

"Are you guys done back there?" asked Kagome with mischievous smirk on her face. Shippou blush a light shade of pink while Clef just giggled at his blush.

Shippou gave everyone a copy of the new song except for Clef, who had the original copy with her. Ayame had a small smirk on her face as she notice that she had a drum solo in the song.

Shippou put his guitar straps over his shoulder as he tried out the sound of his guitar before he started singing his low baritone voice.

The girls were shock at the sound of Shippou's voice. He seemed to grab the sadness of the lyrics with his voice. While he continued singing with Kagome who joined in with him.

Kagome silently took a breath while Shippou got a break from singing for a bit. Kagome sing the lyrics by herself.

The worst is over now and we can breathe again

The group appeared to getting into the song even though they are the ones who are playing. Shippou and Kagome went back to singing together in harmony.

Sango did her guitar solo and then Ayame followed up with her drum solo. As Shippou and Kagome finishing up the song, not noticing about their audience that has suddenly entered the room.

They heard clapping coming from in front of them and notice that their manager and also Kagome's older sister, Midoriko was listening to them same with the two managers of the group called Youkai, Inu Taisho, who was Clef's father and Myoga, his close friend. The band members begun packing up their instruments and cleaning up their area as the managers of Shikon and Youkai were talking in a calm manner.

Kagome tilted her head towards her group and stated happily, "That's a wrap!" Getting small cheers from her fellow members and friends, they pack up their stuff and went their separate ways for the night.

“I can’t believe you invited him… you know him and Clef don’t see eye to eye anymore.” Kagome said in slight annoyance at her older sister that was driving the car home. Midoriko’s eyes held a small amount of mirth in them after hearing Kagome’s voice.

“You didn’t notice he was there until you guys were done with the song and besides, she is still his daughter.” Midoriko said as her eyes were still focused on the road. Kagome just slightly huffed in annoyance to Midoriko’s answer as Midoriko held one victory over Kagome at the moment.

“Do I really have to deal with Kikyo?” Kagome grumbled underneath her breath, changing the subject knowing that her sister wouldn’t tell her anymore than what she needed to know.

“She’s our cousin… so you have to deal with her sooner or later. Besides it would be good for both bands’ images to show some type of camaraderie with each other.”

“Midoriko…”

“Yes, Kagome…”

“You are insufferable…”

“And you’re childish…”

Kagome and Midoriko just laughed at each other as the ride home continue to be filled with laughter and playful arguing from the two sisters.
