Aesop's 'The Dog and the Bone' by Lady_Mist

The Dog and the Bone

He'd had everything. A good job, a nice house, great friends, a the most beautiful woman to grace his arm. He'd had everything. Then he became greedy.

He wanted more. A higher position in his career. A mansion. Newer and more 'socially acceptable' friends.

And a more exciting woman in his arms.

But, like the dog and the bone, he let go of one and never got the other.

He has nothing.

He has lost his job. His house went into foreclosure. He had chased away his true friends.

And now, the most beautiful woman hung upon the arm of his hated half-brother.

Yes, Inuyasha was truly an idiot.
