The stillness of Inuyasha's forest was welcomed after the final battle. The birds chirped happily and the little forest animals scurried around happily. All was calm and quiet, but then it was shattered by a small female screaming "SIT!" She was storming from a clearing where a monk, demon slayer, and a small fox demon sat in a group shaking their heads as they all sighed "Inuyasha."

They were talking about the half-demon coming out of an Inuyasha sized-crater to follow the small female "Kagome! Bitch come back here!" He yelled seizing her arms and making her face him. Her dark blue eyes swirled with anger "Bastard, get your hands off of me and go back to the walking clay pot!" Kagome screamed at him, her voice hurting his sensitive hers he let go of her to hold his ears and she ran off. Her eyes pricked with tears as she ran toward the bone-eaters well, the portal to her home.

She had seen the two of them together, she knew that he was with her but this was the first time she had actually seen it. The scene stood out in her mind as she ran as fast as she could to get away from the half-breed chasing after her.

***************************Flash Back************************************

Kagome sighed as she looked down at her legs, they were dirty and needed washing. Inuyasha had gone out to go 'find food', which everyone in the group knew was code for going to see Kikyo. In the past Kagome had always cried and her sadness radiated off her in intense waves, but recently she know didn't even acknowledge it. She got up and told Sango that she was going to the nearby hot springs, the demon slayer asked "Kagome do want any company?"

Kagome shook her head "No Sango I just want to be alone" She walked out of the clearing, sighing as she walked to the hot springs when she heard his voice "Kikyo." She heard his breathless voice as she walked towards it, she knew she shouldn't, but it was like she had to. The scene she came upon broke her heart; there Inuyasha was holding Kikyo in his arms gently stroking her sides. He was so gentle with Kikyo, but always rough with her. He hadn't spotted her, but Kikyo had; the jealously she held for Kagome flashed through her eyes and a small smirk came upon her face.

"Inuyasha." She said staring directly at Kagome.

"Yes, my love?" He said his face in the crook of her neck.

"Do you care for my recarnation?" She asked smirking at Kagome, whose heart was breaking with every word he said.

"No of course not she was always only a shard detector, but now that the jewel is complete when I make my wish there will no longer be a need for her." He said kissing her gently. Kagome burst into tears and ran as fast as her legs could carry her, and as far away as possible from him. That's finally when Inuyasha caught her scent and ran after her to grab the jewel he so desperately wanted.

*************************Flash Back Over*********************************

Kagome clutched the light, pure, bright pink jewel that hung around her neck. All this jewel ever caused was pain and heart break. She could hear Inuyasha yelling for her to give him the jewel, but she didn't listen she just kept running. She looked back once as she was on the edge of the well. The hanyou she saw wasn't the man she fell in love with. He looked so completly greedy, selfish, and dare she it, evil? Not even bothering to listen to him anymore she jumped into the well, the soft blue light enveloping around her.
