Mornings Are a Bitch

I hated my job. I will not lie to you. People that came in for coffee were assholes. Most of them were either late for work, late for class, or late trying to return home before their significant others found out that they were gone getting some strange. People may call me a Barista. What they should call me is a caffeine-peddling bitch. I find it hard to maintain my bright personality in the wake of so many jerks coming through the door every day.

My brain must have been wandering, because I felt someone give me an elbow to the ribs. I looked over to my best friend.

"Ouch, Naru! What did you do that for?" I asked my best friend in the world.

"You need to wipe that frown off of your face, Usagi. If Motoki finds you being rude to the customers, he will fire you!"

I plastered a fake smile on my face and turned to the couple that had just entered. They were definitely in the third category of customers. He had his arm around her, and was nuzzling her hair. He whispered in her ear something that made her blush.

She was giggling as she came up to the counter. She gave me a smile and ordered a caramel mocha with extra chocolate with whipped cream. What a bitch. She had drinks like that and had a figure to die for. Bitch.

She looked over at him, "Your usual, Sesshoumaru?"

He nodded to her, and checked his watch. "Order quickly, Kagome...we will never make our flight if you don't."

She ordered a black coffee and asked us to hurry. While Naru was making their drinks, I felt like I had to ask. "Where are you off to?"

She gave me that smile again. "We are going on our honeymoon!" She turned to the imposing man with the long silver hair and smiled brightly at him.

So I guess I was wrong. They weren't out getting cheating on someone after all. I guess perhaps I am the one that needed the caffeine.
