Sesshoumaru was anxious about their next meeting with the miko. She usually brought back something for Rin, which as of late had been used against him. Though he knew it wasn't her intention to torment him, he was worried that this time it might be intentional. Paranoid maybe, but they had fought before she left to this world.

It was over something trivial and he had called her foolish. Which then caused a lot of yelling on her end and lengthy lecture of how she was right. And then she called him narrow minded. It pretty much went down hill from there, but they had patch things over somewhat before she went back. Though she did narrow her eyes at him before suddenly smiling say. "See you soon." Then falling into the well. It was because of that that he became paranoid. Especially since she's given him that threat prior to the whole thing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flash Back:

Rin had tied his hair up with various ribbons Kagome had given her as her latest gift.

"This is your fault woman. Your gifts cause nothing but trouble for this Sesshoumaru." He grumbled.

She grinned though he couldn't see it, as she was behind him working on a particularly tough knot. "You know I could bring back other things for her that are far worse." She felt him tense beneath her.

He tried to keep the tension out of his voice. " Like what?"

Her grinned depended. "Just things." She sang out, making him shuddered. "So, don't tempt me."

'Yes, I'm sure of it. She'll find a way to inflict something on me. What will it be this time?' His fingers were drumming the ground as he thought. Only stopping once he caught her scent and his head shot up.

She smiled over at him. "Sesshoumaru."

He nodded as usual. "Miko."

She looked around and spotted Rin splashing in a nearby creek. "Rin! I have a gift for you." She sang out, and he swore she put emphasis on the word 'gift'.

They child hurried over, eager to see what she would get. Sesshoumaru wondered if he should just leave, but then when he returned it might be sprung on him.  He sighed to himself. 'Better to get it over with.'

The miko set down her bag and pulled out a large long rectangular object that was wrapped in paper. He scrunch his brow. 'What is that?'

Rin voiced his question. "What is it Kagome-chan?"

Kagome smiled. "It food Rin. Well more of a dessert, it's called chocolate."  Unwrapping the king sized heresy, she broke it in half and handed it to the girl. "Here try it."

Rin bit off a piece and her eyes lit up. "I love it. Thank you Kagome!" She sat down and went to work on it.

Sesshoumaru nearly laughed in relief. 'Food! Food, I was worried over that! HA!' He shook his head and sagged against the tree. 'Maybe she forgave me after all. Beside Kagome being vengeful is absurd.' If he only knew.

Kagome was grinning and was trying not to let out a sadistic laugh the whole time. By the time Rin was almost finished she made a excuse to leave. "Ops! I forgot some of my supplies in my rush to get here. I'll be back in a hour." With that she left.

One hour later:

Kagome came back to see a unconscious toad that looked like it had been nearly strangled in flowery wreaths. A two head dragon with flowers and bows in its hair, and a very nervous looking demon lord who had a blur of a child running circles around him. Kagome nearly died in laughter.

"And theButterflywasYellowandwhite. *gasp* anditWastheSizeOfRin'sHand!' Came the child slurred speech. Then Rin spotted her, and took in a deep breath.  And boomed out her name. "KAGOME~!!!"

This sobered the miko quickly. 'uh oh.' Rin ran at her full speed and grappled her into a hug, causing them both to crash to the ground.  This seemed to bother Rin none as she went right on talking.

"That stuff was great!!! DoYouHaveAnymore?!!!" Rin eyes shone with the power of sugar.

Kagome laughed nervously at the little girl looming over her. "Um..yes. But later...and in smaller amounts." She was sort of regretting her pay back.

"Rin, why don't you go wake Jaken up." Came a smooth voice.

Rin shot up. "Okay~!" and dragged Jaken to the creek.

Kagome sat up.  'My savior.' Looking up she saw him glaring at her, and she pouted. After a moment he sighed and held out a hand which she gratefully took.

"So, how long will this state last?"  He asked as she dusted herself off.

She tapped her finger on her chin. "Hmm. About a half hour more or less. Then she'll crash for the day."

He almost sighed in relief. "Miko."

"Hm."

He couldn't believe he was going to say this. "This Sesshoumaru is sorry for any offense he's made to you." She smiled. " And in case of any future offense, I only asked you don't go about such methods to get back at me."

She laughed. "It's ok. I think I learned my lesson." 'maybe.'
