Sesshoumaru closed his eyes as he listened to her mother sing to the newborn Kagome. It was beautiful, but made him impatient.

He only had to wait fifteen years. In fifteen years, he would meet his Kagome. Perhaps not under the best circumstances, but he would meet her... and eventually, he would have her in his arms again.

He sighed. His patience would pay off. Until then, he sang softly along with the melody.
