This Lullaby by Kagi-chan
Meeting them
A young girl of about four sat on the swings and watched as a loving couple walked by.
The woman was holding hands with a boy about eight and he was smiling up at her with love and adoration in his golden colored eyes, while the woman smiled a smile filled with eternal love and compassion for the young boy.
Walking a little ways behind them was a man and a boy about the same age as the first male. They both look remarkably like the man, though the first boy looked more like the woman than anything.
The four year old stared at the man as he tossed the boy who looked about seven into the air as he laughed. The man joining in with his son.
"Again" She heard the boy call while the woman giggled softly and went to take a seat on the bench that lay under a blooming Sakura tree. The eight year old smiled and sat beside her.
The small girl tucked her raven colored hair behind her ear when it was blown into her face by the wind as her dark blue eyes turned away from such a happy scene.

The eight year old boy blinked when he saw a small girl sitting on the swings. Standing up from his spot beside his mother he walked over to sit beside the pretty little girl.
"Hello"
He watched as startling dark blue eyes snapped up to look at him.
"Hi" Came the soft reply
The boy smiled at the girl, "My name is Taishou Sesshoumaru. What is yours?"
"Higurashi Kagome. Are you new here?"
"Yep I just moved here yesterday with my younger brother Inuyasha, our dad and my mom. Do you have any brothers or sisters?"
Kagome smiled and shook her head in the negative.

"Who is that pretty girl Sesshou's talking to?" Asked Touga
"I don't know dear!"
"Let's go and find out, ne?"
"Hai"
The Taishou parents and Inuyasha walked over towards Sesshoumaru and the mysterious girl.

Kagome looked over to the side to see Sesshoumaru's parents and little brother coming towards them.
"Hello little one. What's your name sweetheart"
"Kagome" Came the shy reply as she stared at the beautiful woman in front of her.
"It's nice to meet you. My name is Setsuna Taishou, that's my husband Touga Taishou and our youngest son Inuyasha. Where are your parents?" She asked looking around.
"My dad's not here and my mom left me."
"Left you?" Asked Touga
"She got call from her manager. He said that she had to go to the office."
Touga tilted his head, "How old are you child?"
"Four"
"Your really quite smart for someone so young" Called Setsuna
"Grandma said that i am a genuis just like daddy"
"So where is your daddy?"
"Daddy is a singer and he travels alot. He visit's on my birthday and holiday's and he takes me wherever i like when his here. Mommy doesn't know because she's always gone, she told me that she didn't love me because it was my fault daddy left. Nana and Gramps said that she was a liar and that daddy loves me. Uncle Atem said that i shouldn't listen to the mean stuff mommy says about me and daddy because there wrong."
"Your mommy sounds mean!" Called Inuyasha
"Yes indeed" Called Touga
"So your father is a singer, is he?" Asked Setsuna
"Yes"
"Do you know who he is?" Called Sesshoumaru
"Uncle Atem calls him Fuji and his popular single, 'This Lullaby' was written for me."
"I love that lullaby" Squealed Setsuna "I sing it to Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru at bedtime."
"She really does" Smiled Touga
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha smiled as their mother started humming.
Kagome bit her bottom lip as the words from 'This lullaby' drifted to her ears.
...
'This lullaby is only a few words long
A simple run of chords
Quiet here in this spare room
But you can hear it, hear it
Wherever you may go
Even if I will let you down
This lullaby plays on'

Kagome stared at the lady as she finished off the lullaby.
"You have a pretty voice" She whispered
"Thank-you. Does your mother sing you the lullaby as well?"
"No. My Nana sings it to me when i stay with her and gramps. And when my daddy comes to visit he sings it to me" Kagome grinned as she mentioned her father
"That's nice dear" Setsuna smiled at the small girl
"KAGOME!"
Every one turned to see a young man run over towards the swings. He had long black hair that had dark blue streaks and dark blue eyes that almost looked black in color.
"Uncle Atem" Called Kagome as she hopped off the swings and ran into her uncle's awaiting arms.
The young man identified as Atem picked Kagome up and held her tightly in his arms. "How are you sweetheart? Are you alright? Did anyone hurt you?"
Kagome smiled and hugged her uncle, "No, i am fine uncle Atem."
"That's good. I was really worried when i found out that your mother had just left you at some park."
"Where is mama?"
"That woman took off for an photo shot that is taking place in France. That stupid b..." Atem stopped before he uttered the bad word in front of his neice. "She called your Nana and told her that she was leaving and that someone had to pick you up. I went to the house to get you but one of the workers said that you went to the park with that woman earlier and had yet to return. How long were you here sweetie?"
"Mama brought me here this morning. She said that we can play for as long as i want, but she left as soon as we arrived. She told me that she would be back." Kagome sniffed back the tears that wanted to fall.
Atem sighed softly and kissed his nieces forehead. His younger brother was young when he met Kagome's mother, being only 16 and an aspiring singer and she, she was an 19 year old internationally known super model. They dated for several months and he taught he was in love with the woman and decided to take it to the next step, so they slept together. A year later Fuji grew tired of all her whinning and the fits that she threw when he went in to do his recording, the last straw was when he found her having an affair with some male model in their room. He broke it off with her. She later told him that she was pregnant with his child and that he couldn't leave her. When asked how she knew the baby was his, she told him that the guy she was sleeping with was infertile so he told her that he would support his child but he would have nothing to do with her.
So in short her mother was anything but maternal and his brother was just too young and not mature enough to handle the responsibility but that didn't mean he slacked off quite the opposite really. He always made sure he was around on holidays and on her birthday's. He spent every day that he could spare with her and since he couldn't stand his babies mother, he usually took her to the hotel that he stayed at whenever he did visit. He also always sent gifts to her from the different countries that he visited.
Atem glanced at the people that were near his neice warily before he gently sat her on her feet.
"I thank you for keeping Kagome company while her mother left her here, alone, again. That stupid wench, she's always pulling thses stunts." Growled Atem "I'm just thankful that a group of kind looking people stayed with her and that she wasn't kidnapped by some low down sleazy person."
Setsuna smiled as she wrapped her arms around Sesshoumaru who was standing in front of her. "That's quite alright. I would feel awful if something had happened to such a bright young girl such as Kagome-chan. She is a very sweet girl. You must be proud of her!"
Atem grinned and nodded his head, "Yea, Kagome is our families pride and joy. She takes after her father more so than her mother."
"That's a good thing, ne?" Replied Touga with a grin
"Yes" Atem nodded his agreement.
Kagome yawned all of a sudden.
"Hm" Atem smiled, "It would seem that Kagome needs to take a nap."
Touga and Setsuna smiled.
"It would seem so!" Called Touga
"Well it was nice to meet the both you!" Called Atem as he bowed his head towards them
"Yes and it was a pleasure meeting both yourself and Kagome-chan. May i proposed a play day for the kids. If you cannot make it I would be more than happy to watch Kagome and take her home afterwards. It would be no problem." Called Setsuna as she glanced at her oldest son "You see Sesshoumaru doesn't really get along with kids his age so it was a shock to us to see him talking with Kagome."
Atem smiled "The same could be said about Kagome. I have never seen her playing with the other kids. She has always been off by herself."
"So would that be alright?" She asked
"Sure. I could drop her off at your place and pick her up after i finish work!"
"That would be so wonderful!" smiled Setsuna.
Touga grinned as he watched his mate quickly scribble down their address and phone number and handed it to the young man who smiled, nodded his head and also slipped her his number and address encase their was ever an emergency. With a small farewell Atem picked Kagome up and carried her to his car.
Sesshoumaru watched as Kagome and her uncle got into a black car and drove off.
"Alright, are you two ready to go?" Called Touga as he picked up his younger son.
"I am ready, father!" Called Sesshoumaru grabbing his mother's hand.
"Me too!" Called Inuyasha
"Let's go then." Called Setsuna as they headed towards a black limo.

OC - Atem
Atem is 23 years old and is CEO of Akuma enterprises.
He has waist length pitch black hair, blue streaks and dark blue eyes.
Atem is about 6'0 with a golden complexion, no scars or blemishes and a slightly feminine built but it was quite obvious that he was all male. He had muscles but not overly so just enough with broad shoulders, toned stomach with abs and slim waist. Toned, strong legs and over all he was quite handome and sttracted alot of woman.
