A Day of Shadows and Sunlight
SETTING: The story unfolds in modern-day Tokyo, where the prestigious Taishi Corporation, known for its cutting-edge technology and influential status, faces a crisis. Unbeknownst to the world, the corporate hierarchy is entwined with ancient secrets tied to a lineage of mythical beings.
The hospital was awash in a serene glow, a stark contrast to the chaos brewing just beyond its pristine walls. In a small, private room, the cries of baby Sesshomaru echoed softly, a sound as pure and innocent as the new life he embodied. His mother, a compassionate and strong woman, cradled him lovingly in her arms, unaware of the danger lurking nearby.
Time seemed to stand still as she leaned down, planting gentle kisses on Sesshomaru’s forehead. However, a flicker of movement at the doorway caught her eye—a shadow that danced just outside the pool of light. Her instinct flared as her heart raced.
Before she could react, the door burst open, and cloaked figures surged in, swiftly surrounding her with malicious intent. In horror, she watched as one of the figures lunged for her precious son. Desperation surged within her, fueling her screams, but no one came to her aid. In one cruel motion, the sinister figure snatched the infant from her grasp, wrapping him in darkness before vanishing out of sight, leaving only echoes of her cries in the air.

Meanwhile, far above the turmoil, little Kagome flitted about the vibrant skies with wonder. As a toddler, she had only just begun to discover the magic of her wings, a phenomenon her father, the Archery Angel, was determined to teach her. Today was special; it was her birthday, and the sky felt alive with excitement.
“Come, Kagome! Feel the wind beneath your wings!” her father called, laughter bubbling from his lips like the sound of silver bells. His own golden wings stretched wide as he effortlessly soared through the air, performing graceful loops and twists.
Kagome watched in awe, her own small wings shimmering with hues of lavender and silver. “I want to fly like you, Daddy!” she exclaimed, holding tight to her determination.
“Then show me!” he encouraged, his voice ringing with pride. “Leap with all your might!”
Taking a deep breath, she climbed up the slightly sloped cloud, her little heart racing with a mixture of joy and fear. The world beneath her was a tapestry of colors, and she felt invincible for a brief moment. With her father’s voice urging her on, she spread her wings and leaped.
For a glorious moment, she felt weightless, gliding through the air before gravity pulled her down. Panic struck as she began to tumble, but in an instant, her father was there, gently catching her in his strong embrace.
“Focus, Kagome! Remember, flying is all about balance.” He set her safely back on the cloud, beaming at her. “You can do it. Let’s practice together!”
Just as the lessons resumed, Kagome’s mother joined them, carrying a warm light that enveloped the sky in an aura of love. She had spent days sewing a beautiful dress for her daughter’s birthday party, a joyful event where Kagome would celebrate alongside her friends in the heavens.
“Happy birthday, my sweet Kagome!” her mother exclaimed, pulling the delicate dress from behind her back. The fabric sparkled like a starry night, adorned with intricate designs of celestial beings. “I made this just for you!”
Kagome’s eyes widened with delight, the worries of her clumsy flight forgotten. “It’s beautiful, Mama!” Her small hands reached out, fingertips brushing against the soft material.
With her mother’s help, Kagome slipped into the dress, twirling joyfully as it flared around her. “Let’s show Daddy!” she exclaimed, her laughter echoing against the clouds.
As they turned to summon her father, Kagome suddenly paused, a strange sense of unease weaving through the air. A distant echo of a cry pierced the joyous atmosphere like a jagged shadow, making her small heart thump in disquiet.
“Did you hear that?” she asked, her voice apprehensive.
Her mother, sensing the change in her daughter, knelt to look into her eyes. “What did you hear, dear?”
Kagome hesitated, still feeling the weight of the sound. “It sounded sad… like someone is calling for help.”
“Sometimes the winds carry whispers from far away.” Her mother reassured her, though the frown on her face hinted at a shared concern. “But now, let’s focus on your birthday. We will have wonderful games and laughter, just you wait!”
But as the day unfurled, a shroud of unease lingered in Kagome's heart—something was amiss.

As the stars began to twinkle overhead, the party commenced amidst the serene skies of the heavens. Friends and celestial beings filled the air with laughter and camaraderie, but under the festive ambiance, a storm brewed below in the mortal realm.
In the darkness, the clamor of footsteps echoed as the kidnappers fled the hospital, the jailed cries of a lost heir echoing alongside. Little did they know that the world above would soon unite with the world below; destinies converging in an intricate dance of light and shadow.
And somewhere, in a place that felt far away, the age of heroes was about to begin.
