Day 7 Dec 20th: Sweater

"I'm cold," Kagome says as she pointedly stares at Sesshomaru's dark gray sweater.

"How unfortunate for you," Sesshomaru replies without any real sympathy. "Perhaps you should have brought the cardigan with you as I recommended."

She pouts. "It wasn't that cold when we left."

"That is why you must learn to check the weather." Sesshomaru pulls his mate along the busy street as couples rush around them to find Christmas gifts for their loved ones. "You have no one but yourself to blame for your current predicament, woman."

She whines then, knowing exactly how much he despises it. "Sesshomaruuuu." She tugs on his arm. "Can't I borrow your sweater? It looks so warm."

"No." Sesshomaru does not even miss a step. 

It's moments like these he sometimes wonders what he sees in the woman he intends to mate, but when she sticks out her lower lip, she manages to look adorable for all her foolish behavior.

"I will not loan it to you," he says firmly, but he can feel himself begin to falter.

She shivers. "Even for a little while?"

"No." If he yields now, when will it end?

She glances down, clearly sulking.

"However," he says, capitulating before he can stop himself, "I will purchase one for you—if you promise to wear it whenever we go out."

She brightens. "I promise!" She snuggles his arm into her soft bosom, and he weakens further. "You're a grinch on the outside, but I love how soft you are inside, Sesshomaru."

He pretends he doesn't hear her as he pulls her into an outerwear shop to pick out a new sweater.
