Chapter 1

A/n: Well hello again readers lol sounds like my fav book the school for good and evil. Anyway I was rewatching inuyasha why listening to my music and melanie martinez cake came on and it ironically was a perfect scene when Inuyasha was being so sweet to kagome and then later left and secretly met up with kikyo and kagome caught them. So this is a one shot of the scene.

I do not own squat.

Your skin is warm like an oven, your kiss is sugary sweet

Sitting under the tree where her and inuyasha shared their first kiss. Kagome touched her lips feeling the tingly sensation of his lips on hers. She smiled like a child who just gotten a new toy. 

Your fingers feel like cotton when you put your arms around me

She wrapped her arms around herself, remembering his hands on her body. The way his clawed hands settled on her lower back when he kissed her. While the other one got tangled up in her hair.

I feel like I'm just missing something whenever you leave

Kagome’s smile disappeared and was replaced with a sad one. Inuyasha had left her at the tree she sat under. Her heart tugged, she began to feel an unsettling achein the pit of her stomach, she followed the feeling of dread. Kagome looked up at the sky to see Kikyo’s soul catchers floating passed her. She followed the soul catches finding not only Kikyo but Inuyasha as well. Him holding her, stroking her hair while he whispered something she couldn't catch on to.

We've got all the ingredients except you loving me

I'm not a piece of cake for you to just discard

Kagome just stared at the heartbreaking scene, as she watched Inuyasha kiss and touch kikyo the same way he did to her. She stepped backwards shaking her head. There was a cracking noise that could be heard and inuyasha looked up locking eyes with kagome. She didn’t step on anything the cracking they all heard was her heart breaking. Kagome turned away and ran as fast as she could hearing in the distance Inuyasha screaming her name.

The slice of heaven that I gave to you last night

Kagome ran through the forest crying, her face red from lack of oxygen and her tears. Not paying attention she tripped over a tree root, falling down a hill. Her body landed in a stream but Kagome didn’t care she allowed the water to carry her body away while she stared up at the sky. 

You smell just like vanilla, you taste like buttercream                                You're filling up my senses with empty calories  

Kagome closed her eyes trying to remember the good moments between her and Inuyasha. The parts where when they were alone and he would kiss and touch her like she was the only one he ever longed for. Realizing her mistake in remembering made her cry even more Because she knew those times were based on a lie. ‘I’m just his day bitch’ Kagome thought sadly.

When kagome felt her body stopped she didn’t know where she was but really didn’t care at this point. She stood up and walked over to a tree and plopped herself down, pulling her knees up against her chest. Kagome shivered as the wind blew by her. She curled up in a ball and fell asleep, exhausted from crying.

Kagome felt nudging in her sleep and groaned. “Kagome-neesan wake up” Kagome’s eyes shot open at the sound of Rin’s voice. “Rin is so happy you’re ok kagome-neesan”. Rin smiled at her “Rin found you sleeping, you looked cold so rin asked lord sesshomaru if we could take you with us. He agreed”. Kagome smiled at rin “thank you rin”. Kagome looked around and locked eyes with Sesshomaru. She walked over to him and bowed.”Sorry for the intrusion lord Sesshomaru but thank you for letting stay for a bit”. Sesshomaru looked at her and nodded making kagome smile. “Why are you not with the half breed?” Sesshomaru questioned causing kagome to tense up at the sound of Inuyasha’s name. Her eyes began to water, shaking her head she gave Sesshomaru a sad smile. “I’m nothing more than a tool to him..” Kagome answered slumping down in front of the demon lord. Sesshomaru for the first time felt somewhat bad for the miko. Her eyes lost all the spark in them. Over the years Sesshomaru began to respect the Miko for her strong power and selflessness, She was not like no female human or demoness he has ever met, kagome intrigued him. “The half breed does not deserve you” Sesshomaru said closing his eyes. Kagome snapped her head up surprised of his words, but she wouldn’t question it. Sesshomaru’s comment made her heart warm up like an oven pre-heating. The rest of the day was spent in silence or small talk between the two.

 “I guess i should get going then… everyone must be worried” Hearing kagome’s word rin ran over and hugged her leg. “Kagome-neesan do you have to go?, Rin wants you to stay.” She looked over at Sesshomaru who was ready to begin traveling some more. “Lord sesshomaru can kagome-neesan come with pleaseeee.” Rin asked putting on her best puppy dog eyes for her lord. Sesshomaru looked over his shoulder “ Miko you may come with this Sesshomaru if you would like, However I will not wait for you. Choose quickly.” Sesshomaru said as he walked away. Rin ran off to her lord hoping kagome would come with them.

Kagome took one last glance towards the direction of Inuyasha and her friends ‘I love you guys’ kagome thought. She turned away, running to catch up with Sesshomaru and picking up rin in the process. Their hands touching slightly, Kagome looked up at Sesshomaru as he looked at her and both smiled at each other.
