The daiyokai regretted he didn’t have some pastries on his person. From his experience with females, Rin and his own dame, this helped them feel better. He remembered how his mother consumed lots of sweet pastries when his father was visiting his human mistress. The situation was similar in a way and he chuckled at the similarities between his philandering father and now half-brother.

“Help me Sesshoumaru, please” Kagome murmured in his chest. “Help me prove that I am my own person, that I am not Kikyo’s reincarnation.”

“This one vows it Kagome, we will prove it,” he swore solemnly.
