Kagome looked at him and blinked her blue eyes, the tears in them shining under the moon’s rays.

“Kaede said so when...” she started only to be interrupted by Sesshoumaru’s voice that was raspy with emotions, something she never heard from him.

“It is unlikely,” he stated, inspecting her face carefully. Kagome blushed but felt a pleasant warmth at his next words. “Aside from the cut of your eyes, which is typical for Asian women, you are nothing like her.”

“But the Shikon...” the miko tried reasoning with him but Sesshoumaru shook his head.

“You are Kagome, no one’s copy.”
