A blue-eyed female ran down the hallway after the gurney before slamming to a halt after a door was closed in her face.

Glancing through the window, all she could see was his body being put onto a table, and their frantic speaking.

"Hurry! He's losing too much blood!"

"Someone get him the respirator, he's choking. He's choking!"

"Taisho, what can you do? Taisho? Come on doctor, we have to do something!"

Amber eyes slanted her way, a calculating stare that pierced through the window of the door and into her soul.

A nurse stepped outside of the room, quickly ushering her away.

That was no matter, for the female could hear the machine hooked up to his heart down the hallway. The sluggish beating slowly ceasing.

She couldn't get away fast enough before she heard the worst.

"We're losing him!"

Beep...

Then nothing.

...

The raven haired female woke with a gasp, her bangs plastered to her forehead and her slim body covered in perspiration.

She could hear the heavy, steady thump of her heart, the very thing she wished would cease.

Small hands explored the bed, then fingers, then toes. The appendages were searching for something that was obviously not there.

The miko clenched her moist eyes shut, before swinging her legs over the bed. Her eyes hovered on the small band that lay peacefully on her nightstand.

She sneered as she snatched it up, her hand over the trashcan. Her unwilling fingers refused to let the ring drop into it's depths.

"Fuck." The woman whispered, promptly slipping the golden jewelry onto her finger.

She got out of bed, tredding to her bathroom on clumsy feet.

What she saw in the mirror was ugly and terrifying, the shadow of a being that once existed.

The mirror showed the gaunt bags beneath her eys, the protruding collar bones, and the tangled web of hair.

Kagome met her resolve, and slipped into the shower.

Turning the valve, she was met with an icy torrent that replicated the feelings within her heart.

...

Golden eyes looked over Naraku Onigumo's diagnosis, and the transcripts given to him from the morgue.

"Hn."

The doctor set the papers down as he phoned the investigation office.

"Hello, this is Sesshomaru Taisho speaking from West Wing... Yes the doctor's office." Sesshomaru spoke, glancing at the papers once more.

"I'd like to open a case on Onigumo's cause of death. The diagnosis says car accident, but the wounds are too severe and too precise for that to be true. The stab into his lung was aimed, not accidental. I believe this was a murder." He finished solemnly, hanging up gently after recieving his reply.

Seshomaru leaned back in his chair before pulling the glasses off of his face and rubbing the indents on where the pads of his glasses once were.

He could feel a headache coming on, and that was unpleasant.

The silver-haired male packed up his belongings, and began to exit his office. His stressing work was finished for the day.

...

Kagome slowly went throughout the house, collecting pictures of her late husband. She knew the sadness had not hit her yet, and she didn't know when it would.

Her eyes lingered over a picture of their small family. The little newborn girl that was never meant to be.

It was a miracle that she was brought to term, Kagome mused.

The small quarter youkai was conceived through accident, and brought to term by selfishness. The existence of quarter youkai was rare, and a problemless life was impossible. The complications between the beast and human side kill them from within.

Kagome remembered the heated conversation, and wished she'd istened.

"Kagome, you need to end it." Naraku said vehemently, slamming the pregnancy test on the counter.

She looked at him with defiant eyes, "No Naraku, this is my child." She paused, "I choose what I do with them. It's a them, not an it." Kagome finished angrily.

Collecting all of the things, she gently put them away.

The ringing of a phone startled her, and she hastily walked to the hallway to answer.

"Hello? Mrs. Onigumo? This is Taisho Clinic calling, we have a few questions about your late husband."

Click.

She hung up quickly as tears gathered within her eyes.

Grabbing her keys, she all but ran out the door.

Kagome couldn't believe that they had the nerve to interrup her mourning for questions. How could they not wait?

She turned the keys into the ignition after she hopped in her car, before peeling out of the drive way.

They were about to feel her wrath.

Okay, so I need to stop making new stories. But like.... c'mon. Also, completely fictional. I do not know much about hospitals, so if you're a nurse, sorry if i offend you through my naive implications!
