Tell Me About Abduction
Chapter one;
Tell me about abduction
She woke slowly, feeling all the tiny agonies through her body. Her sight was blurry, but where she was seemed to be a place devoid of light. She sat up and winced at the pain in her side. She touched where the pain originated and gasped as she realized she was completely naked. Water was flowing somewhere near her. The ground beneath her was cold and sharp. She tried to summon her miko powers but found that they had left her. A cry of frustration and fear escaped her.
“Crying won’t help you now.” She knew his voice instantly. Stark terror pulsed through her.
“Naraku..”
He smiled wickedly, though he knew she could not see him. Had she, her fear would have been of the known terror he was going to inflict upon her rather than the unknown. He couldn’t decide which he liked the idea of better. As he watched her push herself against the cave wall, drawing her knees to her chest, her pulse beginning to pound so loud he could hear it where he stood he couldn’t suppress a hateful laugh. No. He definitely preferred this. She was so vulnerable, so completely afraid and lost and helpless that the mere sight of her in the blackness made the moment priceless for him. “Do you remember how you got here, Kagome?”
Did she? She shuddered as the memory came back. She had been with Sesshomaru. He had become an ally to their group in the last few months and as a sign of good faith she had, with her newly evolving miko powers, helped him regenerate his missing arm. The act always left her exhausted, however today she had finished the last bit she hadn’t been able to complete the previous afternoon. Inuyasha had railed against her decision. In the end, his protests were ignored. Since Kikyo had released him from his promise and allowed herself to die, returning Kagome’s shard of soul to her, Inuyasha had become a haunted and unthinking creature. He had been so before, however now, facing the fact that he had to now forge his own destiny and embrace life again, he found he had no idea what he wanted from his existence. Kouga had also joined their group full time with his wolf pack. Together, they made a formidable army against Naraku.
That afternoon she had assured Sesshomaru that she was well enough to walk back to camp alone. He had a few things to attend to at his castle before he could continue on with the group and, though he was loath to leave her alone, the sooner he left, the better. He had gone begrudgingly and she had been walking back. It was a short distance and she had no fear of what might have happened. Then she sensed the jewel shards and his massive power. She didn’t even get to turn before a massive bolt of dark energy pierced through her side. She hadn’t even been able to scream before darkness claimed her mind.
Now she was here, with Naraku, helpless and defenseless. “You... You kidnapped me.... Why?”
“To break their moral. I can’t kill you now that your soul is intact. That part of you that was Kikyo is now fused with you once again and killing you would kill her. The heart of Onigumo refuses to allow me to do this. However, it doesn’t keep me from kidnapping you and entombing you in this cave below my castle. It took much energy and work, but it was worth it. You see, your powers are not just suppressed in this cave, little miko. They are drained completely. They’ll regenerate once you are released to return to your comrades, however, for the moment, all you can do is submit to me.”
He watched as dawning realization crossed over her face. She pushed harder against the sharp rock of the wall and he laughed. Oh, yes. The darkness was by far more entertaining than the light would have been. “Please... Please don’t...” She choked. He had no intention of listening to her.
“The best thing you can do, Kagome, is relax and let me have my way. You might even begin to enjoy yourself.” He said darkly and began to stalk toward her. She started to shake and sob in terror. Oh yes... This would be delicious.
