Title: Wishes for the New Year

Rated: MA (for future chapters)

Summary: Every New Years Kagome makes a wish for the upcoming years. During the holidays, Kagome meets the rich and handsome business man Sesshomaru. What challenges will bring to Kagome and what wish will she make after meeting him?

Side Note: This if for kaoruhana New Years 2015-2016 Challenge. This will be my first challenge. Please enjoy and comment what you think. Also, chapter lengths will vary. – SoQ09  

Chapter one – Champagne Spill

            It was late December, with the holidays so close Kagome had no money to pay for any presents she wanted to get. She wanted to go all out this year since it will be the first in over three years since she’s been away on board. Studying Ancient History was a very long commitment, that leaved no time to see her family. Hence why she was back in Tokyo, Japan and working as catering server for some high end party. She was hoping that this would give her some extra cash to get the new PlayStation 4 for Sota, a bracelet that she knew her mom wanted, and a book on the feudal ear.

Her friend Sango who was studying with her, helped her get this job. Her boyfriend Miroku dad had a catering business. So with a little sweet talk, she convinced Miroku to get her a part-time job. Working only nights so she had the whole day to spend the little money she earned.

            She was currently slowly walking through the crowed of people, all dress up in tuxedos and pretty little dresses that would make a priestess cry.

It was for some charity, giving money and toys to children who have been diagnose with cancer.

Kagome liked the fact that it was a charity and not about some rich guy who wants to flaunt his money around, which in turn looks like it, because of the marble floor that she can see her reflection in, and the shinny glass tables that were littler everywhere. Not to mention, she was in one of the riches hotels.

            Seeing as how her little tray that she was holding was almost empty, she was about to turn away when she heard this group of girls gossiping.

“I heard he’s the riches man in Japan?” said a tall dark tan girl. Her hair was black and put up in a top bun. She was wearing a flowing red sparkle dress, that had one right sleeve.

The other girls nodded in agreement.

“Not just that, but I heard from Kiki, that he loves a good women in bed, and he’s hung!” the other girls gasp and started to chatter on. After hearing such things, Kagome could feel her face turning a slight pink and hurried to the black curtain entrance that held the catering staff.

‘that he loves a good women in bed’, or ‘he’s hung!’ who would say suck things like that. And whomever they were speaking of must be a womanizer if you got a bunch of adult women saying the same thing. Shaking her head in disgust, Kagome grab another tray and started to walk back out to the crowd. Not seeing where she was going, she bumps into someone and spilling the champagne onto someone.

“OH my goodness, I’m so sorry!” grabbing a napkin she tried to dab at her spill. A pale hand stop her movements. Looking up, she saw golden eyes. Before her was the most handsome man she ever laid eyes on. He had long silver hair that was pulled up into a thong. Pale skin that looked like marble, a narrowed nose, and markings on his cheeks. Turning her eyes up to his forehead, she saw the crescent moon.

A demon. A handsome demon. Realizing that she was staring, she turned her gaze down on her hand, which was still in his grasp.

“I’m so sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.” She muttered.

“Indeed.” He responded, Even his voice is like silk. Who is this man? On cue, the girl she over heard gossiping came over.

“Sesshomaru! There you are. I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Taking her hand back, the girl came over grabbing the man named Sesshomaru arm.

“Oh what happen! Your soaked!” shrugging his shoulders, “It’s fine.”

“No it’s not. That suit coast a lot of money! I even paid extra for the cuffing’s.” huffing she looked at Kagome. Eyeing her up and down, Kagome felt slightly naked from her glances.

“It was you, wasn’t it?” Kagome glanced down, ashamed.

“It was an accident.”

“Well, its coming out of your pay.” Kagome eyes widen. No, Christmas was only a few days away, and then she would return to her studies. How was she going to save the money for her family? She’ll find a way. She will just have to work longer hours. Looking up, she apologized once again to Sesshomaru and bowed to the waist, and turned and walked away.

            “What an unsavory event. It makes me sadden to know good help can’t be found anymore.” With a short nod she glanced up to her date. He was staring after the silly girl and where she left. Becoming annoyed, she tried to distract him buy pulling him to the dance floor, but he didn’t budge,

“Aya.” He looked down at the women that was trying to pull him to dance.

“Yes?” she replied.

“Its over. Don’t ever contact me again.” Sesshomaru walked away from the women, who was no speechless.

How dare he! He wont get away from this! She turned on her heels and walked away.
