that negotiation was just wow. I am speechless. I applaud you for the insight into how it works during that time. When Sesshoumaru said that she is his. I was so happy thinking that he would get possessive over her but I didn't think about him making her whore herself for info or married off for wealth or land etc..And boy am I grateful that Miroku was there as her negotiatior.

wow I love Rin's relationship with Sesshoumaru; they have this understanding between them where they don't have to show over the top displays of affection to let the other know their feelings. And Inuyasha's death is very tragic. This is the first story I'm reading where he was killed while he was human.

OMG I love this chapter, it got me hooked already. I was hesitant to read because I know you are a fabulous after reading ADLC but I was scared you won't update so I never read this. I hope you don't leave for so long again. :) But back to the story, this was a very nice setup for the story to take off. You are a master at hookig people and keeping them on the edge of their seats at the end of every chapter.

That was one awesome chapter! Good on you Miroku! Covered all the unspokens! He actually outmanouvered Sessh. I like that this Kagome has grown and learned to listen before she screams. Thanks for updating. 

What an injection of historical reality. I loved Miroku's part. Kagome would have blundered that badly in sheer ignorance.

Wow! Yep i can see it the way! I feel inspired to write a widow fic myself but unfortunately don't have time... Another wonderful life! Good luck with everything! Take care! Have you posted this before and are revamping?  I feel like I've read this before, even some of the flow of the dialogue.  Chapter 7 feels 'new' tho.
