I really like where you're going with this and look forward to more. It's nice to see Kagome being a bit of a brat. A lot of fics tend to paint her as a saint and while I appreciate their characterizations of her it's really great to see someone being more honest about her age - or her response to not being able to mature normally in her own time because of having to travel back and forth. I also like that she's not enamored of Sesshomaru, no matter how pretty he is - because he DID try to kill her and she's got to move past it and you've got her NOT being shallow enough to just say 'Okay, he's hot, I'll do it!' in order to get home. So many fics have her attracted to him for just his hotness and while they're fun this one is more truthful to a teenager's reaction to something that traumatic.

That said, while I can believe that she's belligerent towards her future self and maybe while she's with Inuyasha and the others because of the circumstances, I don't quite agree with the way you've got her talking to Kaede. She was never that rude to her in the original story. Remember, we're raised to respect our elders in our current time - especially in Japan. Also, while she's still quite young and inexperienced in the whole birthing procedure, I'm finding it tough to believe that she's getting so VERY grossed out by the process. A bit squeamish, yes, but remember, they've been in battle and witnessed death and gore a lot worse than giving birth. I would advise you to make sure you've got her character down pat in your head - incorporating what you want to portray in her with the way she should act given the circumstances she's in AND the way she was raised.
