I just found this story and read it in one go. It's really great!

Just ... there is one thing: They tell her she can't have children with her mate, which is cruel, because if she wants children or not is not their buisness. But they are only talking abaut her MATE they completely ignore her HUSBAND. Because even if she would mate for example Sesshomaru, as a miko she probably wouldn't stay at a castle full of demons if they are all afraid of her and there's nothing keeping her there (like love or children). So she would go back to her village and leave Sesshomaru alone. I think in this story, Inuyasha actually loves her, so he could understand, that what happened was not her choice, but forced upon her. So they could still marry and she could have children with her husband. And hopefully these children kick (most of) that youkai court into the orbit.

Actually I probably could never stopp laughing and gloating, if even a hanyou like Inuyasha could get her pregnant with extremely powerful full-blooded pups - because ... well, reasons XD

You know, as long as this isn't finished, this is how the story goes on in my head. I want to annoy and torture that stupid court at least in my own mind.

Those stupid pea brained lords, they are acting just like the humans who kill off things because they are scared of it. Trying to kill off demons and demon children because they are afraid. What if humans were the stronger ones and could tell the demon lords that they could not reproduce so they wouldn't have to deal with a bunch more powerful demons.  Who the heck are they to punish her for circumstances she could not change. She did not choose to be a powerful miko, she was born that way, just like they did not choose to be powerful demon lords, they were simply born that way. For them to say she must be punished for something she did not choose nor could not change shows they are the ignorant fearful creatures just like the humans they despise and condemn so often. ARGGGHHHH!! I hope she tears into them, and still refuses and they sentence her to death and then the gods themselves come down and punish them. RAWWWRRRR!! Okay, I'm done ranting now. I love this story, this has to be my 4th time reading it. I hope you update soon. I'm going crazy over here.

I was just going through some of my older favs and re read this one.. It really is great... I truly hope you haven't given up on this story, it's such a great premise.. I do totally understand how life gets in the way though. Hope to see more as soon as you have a chance.

My god I'm crying I can't believe that their going to take away her right to give birth >.< I hate to say it but I just can't keep reading this as a mother I would die if something like that would be done towards me I just can't read this I really enjoyed it until that came up sorry i really did enjoy it till then but that is a deal breaker for me.

Awwwww... Both to your loss and poor Kagome's situation as well. I'm so very sorry for the passing of your dad, truly =( I can't even image losing my dad... He and I may not see eye-to-eye in some things, but it would literally tear out my heart to have him be gone forever... *huggies you* I've been your fangirl since I first read this fanfic, and I will not abandon this story because of "slow updates" because you're too good a writer and your absence was more the legitimate. Take your time, and do only what you can when you can. ^_^ Us true fangirls will still be here!

It makes me happy to read an update to this great fic!  I hadn't forgotten it, though it's been a long time.  And I knew Kagome couldn't keep up her meek demeanor much longer!  Can't wait to find out what the fall-out will be!  Please, update again soon!

Yay! You updated! I'm sorry about the loss of your father. My condolences. I love this chapter. I can't wait for Inuyasha's reaction to the purpose of the Youkai Council's meeting with Kagome. Oh, I'm sure he would flip out. I'm wondering if the Council would want to meet with Inuyasha concerning his future at some point, even though he doesn't count in the eyes of most of the Council members, seeing as now there's no future for him with Kagome. Perhaps they'd call him to witness the mating of Sesshomaru and Kagome. Hmm, who knows? Or perhaps, they would find a suitable mate for him, especially Hisao, being his uncle. Either way, Inuyasha would be highly pissed and maybe go off the deep end, cursing out all the Council members, object to the idea, typical Inuyasha. Want to see what happens next.  

I agree with Kagome on choosing death over what the council wants for her.  She would end up mated to someone she does not love, even if it's Sesshoumaru, with her powers controlled by him and a future with no children.  In other words she would be a childless, unhappy prisoner.  And if someday she grew to love her mate, she'd still be childless and his prisoner.  Also, she'd have to stand by as he would choose a demoness to rut with to give him an heir.  Does that all sound better than a quiet, peaceful death as opposed to a life mostly full of misery and mental torture?  To me it would be the brave thing to do and a last defiant slap in the face of the council.  I just don't want the council feeling victorious in their decisions.  I want them to suffer in some way and know it to be a punishment.  Kagome spoke up against their decisions but it seemed to make no impact with them and Sesshoumaru did not help the matter either.  I'm very disappointed with him in all this.

I am both very pleased to see that you updated (!!!!!!!!!!) And devastated about your father. I am so sorry for your loss, and I understand that although it gets easier, it doesn't get better. I wish you the most of luck in moving on and being strong and, as always, your writing is not suffering. It's wonderful, thank you!
