Oh, my heart ???????????????????? what a heart wrenching story! And oh, so beautifully done!

I think there's like less than 2 dozen fanfics, of the few thousand SessKag fanfics, that I've cried. You've done well piecing this story together and drawing me into it where I could feel how Kagome felt as Sesshoumaru's health was deteriorating, and then, when he passed.

This was such a lovely and bittersweet story with a very well thought out plot! I'm so sad for Sesshomaru, but at least he wasn't alone in his time of need and he will always be remembered with fondness. And Kagome was able to move on and live a happy life!

This may sound a little odd but...

I think this was sadder than Tales from the House of the Moon.

I know that must sound like I'm crazy but I'm not, I swear. This ending had mad balling. Perhaps it was the scenes where Kagome was talking to Sesshomaru's grave that were more emotional to me. Actually, yea that's it.

As for the pairing, I was really thinking that was how things were going to end up. When he started comforting her, I knew that this is Akira x Kagome. It was wondering if maybe you would find a way to send her back but I wasn't expecting that. The story is called To Go Onward after all, and the best symbol of going forward is always continuing in life.

I read this story while I was working. ..bad idea!!! I was crying so badly and oh god, I had a knot in my throat all the time. But I have to say, regardless of the angst,  its a very nice piece of work. I enjoyed reading it very much. Great job

Wow. I love the story. I mean it's sad, but very different than most things I have read these days. . . my only question. . . in the first chapter, you said that his arm had been amputated, but in the second chapter it sounds as if he has both arms when they are going up the steps. But I really love the story and can't wait for the rest!
