Oh man, I don't know if I'm just over emotional, but I cry at the ending of this story every single time I read it. Not tears of gut wrenching pain or anything, but somewhere between sorrow and happiness; like sustaining a wound only to have it immediately healed. Such an odd and beautiful mixture of emotions this tale makes me experience! I know it's been around for a while, but I still come back and read it every now and then. Awesome talent you have with expressing emotions and the feeling of an environment without directly addressing them. Like how the reader would fully understand the quiet pain Kagome feels by her drawing and Shippo bringing attention to it when Kagome didn't even notice it. Just little things like that hit home so much more than plainly stating she was sad, and it truly amplifies her personality by her not even recognizing her own loneliness. Then with Sesshoumaru, I felt his guilt and sudden realization of just who his mate was, and how strong she was. Anyways, this is one of my favorite little one-shots! Thank you for sharing! I'm not sure if you still write, or if you'll get this, but I hope you're still sharing your words/worlds with others!

Such beauty, eloquently worded, to explain the whole problem and solution!
I think I've read almost everything you've ever written, Hallowed Desire being my favorite and most re-read, but the beauty of this story is beyond all of your others. You've achieve maturity with this tale, you have found your voice and I hope to someday see original works come from your pen.
