Just gotta say tho, rubbing a dogs nose in the accident is a completely useless way of trying to housetrain it, the dog will not understand what is happening or why you are suddenly being "mean" to it and doing it in such a way as described in the fic is plain and simple animal abuse (and imo Kagome should react to this since she has previously stated pretty clearly that she would not condone/tolerate "Lucky" being abused) and also carries a very real risk of making the animal sick.
Punishing a dog after its already done something (like dragging it to an accident and rubbing it nose in it) does not work, they will not be able to connect the punishment with the previous action.
Giving the dog a strict "No" with a "growling/barking" tone while it is acctually doing it and lifting it up and putting it outside (or on the newspapers if you use that) and then rewarding it when it does its thing in the correct place however does work.
Ofc since "Lucky" isn't really a dog its different in the fic, but you should be very careful with depicting these kinds of methods since there is already way to many that believe its how its done.
