I don't think it detracts from the story too much, but Kaede's village isn't Edo. It always confuses me when authors refer to it that way because it's a big anachronism. Edo was originally a fishing village, but it won't be established as such until 1603, 40-50 years later than the story's setting. Kaede's village is further inland.

I love the story so far. It's been on my list to read for a while.

i think the thing where he's impressed she's educated is a fanon thing. If it was because he sees her as a commoner, okay. But there was relative gender equality among the upper classes of Japan up until the Edo period. But even then education was rather accessible, and available to commoners by that time.

You know, most writer's like to do a great fight killing Naraku but I rather agree with this way. I love StarGate SG-1 and when the ghould was taken from the host the real condition of the host appeared and they died.(unless they were recently overtaken) This actually made alot of sense and though they did have to fight hard to actually get to him, I'm content with this. Can't say I would have been keen on buring all those people though. A mass burning would have been my suggestion as it is their custom to cremate the dead too. Yuck and stench would have me puking for days. I agreed with Kagome too, a bath and sleep, sex can wait until another more appropriate time and Sessh's reaction was also normal as guys will become aroused even if they don't intend to do anything about it.

Kagura, not being an actual incarnation got her heart back and was actually a help to the tachi. I hope they allow her solace with them seeing as she really doesn't have a place to go.  I also had to agree with Sango's choice, though a hard one, to allow her brother to die instead of him having to try to live with the knowledge of all he had killed. I believe if Tenseiga had made Sesshoumaru aware that Kohoku should live he would have let Sango know. Tenseiga doesn't allow anyone to be revived if it was their time to die. (I believe this anyway)

I'll be happy to see where else this goes and I must say that this fic has been such an addictive one even if it's taken me time to get through it and up to date. RL hasn't been good and has prevented me from the enjoyment I get just from reading on Dokuga. You've been doing such a great job and I've been saddened that I couldn't have been more invovled in reviewing.
