Look what you just went and did Kagome. This is what she wanted...full, open, honest emotion...spoken to her. Well now, learn to accept it because he's not only youkai, he inu youkai and that means when they pick their mate, it's forever. He was just having a hard time putting those emotions he never had to use out there where she could know how he felt. He wasn't taught how to love, he was taught how to be a Lord, a ruler, a warrior, a stratigist but not an open emotional being. Those things were repressed so he was always taken seriously. Never show anyone your weaknesses and to a youkai of his standing, emotions are a weakness. He knew the fundamentals of courting and mating but not giving a voice to his feelings or how to show a woman like her that he can treat her with respect and equality that she grew up with. Having sex is not love by any means. That only shows he knows how to use his manhood.

I think I'd like the way this has turned out. He's not just acting like a stubborn, constipated, arrogant youkai Lord, he really had no true knowledge of how to say and show her his feelings. I like how Aoi stands up to him and puts him in his place. Like InuYasha, Aoi doesn't care if Sesshoumaru tries to hand him his butt in a sling. Aoi tells him like it is whether he likes it or not and Sachira, I think she's a good woman for InuYasha. She's someone who will keep him in line without taking away his dignity. InuYasha has only ever let Kagome get away with putting him in his place and one reason was she would sit him if he didn't listen but he's grown up quite a bit since all of this started and his meeting Sachira is really good to because she's totally different from both Kagome and Kikyou. It's about time Sesshoumaru has given InuYasha credit for being InuTashio's second son and so much as telling him he's a good warrior by giving him a commander's postion in his army.

This has been quite fun catching up on. You are doing a marvelous job and I can't wait to see what happens between Sessh and Kagome now that their love has been declared.   JEN

Are you serious!  That behind would so have my mark and I would so infuse my scent on evry inch of his skin.  The females of the court would so despise and envy her.  The mist terrifing creture whom romes this land invites her stinging touch.  Oooh boy the trust he gives her.  Lord have mercy I would make it burn and sting deviously.  Hell all other males would twitch in uncomfortable arousal, curiosity and disbelief.  Hell maybe start a trent.  Only the strongest mates can mark one another. A status quote of sorts.   Yeah, I'm evil like that....sigh

 WOah...that escalted quickly! Sesshoumaru may not think he has a way with words, but he does. Yes indeedy. That is quite a comittment. You have done a splendid job for getting us to root for them. I can't wait to see what happens next and what eveyone else's reaction will be :)

I'm loving this story, every chapter has me on the edge of my seat! I do feel bad for Aoi, he would have been wonderful with Kagome! I just feel in love with him lol! But those tender moments between Kagome and Sesshomaru got me like 'Yes!' hahaha.

Love this line by Sesshomaru: "I wish to court you, yet I do not know how to phrase what a courting entails in a manner you will accept."

It really shows how strongly he feels towards Kagome, how insecure he is as he worries about her reaction to what he had done. It's a vulnerability one hardly ever sees from the demon lord and I was greatly moved. Come one, Kagome! How can you be pissed when he obviously cares and wants you for you?! Take your dog demon and ride him like no tomorrow! lol

Hahaha...wonder if Sesshoumaru just landed with Kouga in the dog house with that one. They seem to slowly be getting back to themselves even on this awkward of awkward moments (that never seems to end). I can't wait to see what happens next and where Kagome finds her new place :)

Those closest to us can hurt us the most. I just hope in Aoi's case it is worth it. I wonder where Kagome will go. Going to the west to be with Sesshoumaru but then always seeing Inuyasha and Aoi who are no longer with her. Tough choice. I can't wait to see what happens next and how you get them all a happy ending :)
