I love Kagome and Sango's relationship.  They seem like true friends.  I have not read many stories that have such a great conversation between Sango and Kags.  Most ignore Sango's role as Kagome's only female friend entirely.  It was so refreshing to see an honest to goodness "Best Friend" moment between them.  YaY!!

Your story is really good so far.  You seem to have a real grasp on the characters.  You stressed about the interaction between Kags and Inuyasha.  Don't!!  It was wonderful.  It felt like an episode.  I thought their interactions were true to form.  I agree with you whole-heartedly that they always came off as brother and sister to me, too.  He may be older than her, but he still seemed more like her younger brother then an older one.  He was just very immature compared to Kagome's more forward way of thinking, but Kagome was still an impressionable young girl.  They fit very well together as family and best friends.  IMO.

I wish sometimes that Sesshomaru's father was alive to take him over his knee.  I love Sesshomaru, but his attitude (not just your story, but the anime and manga, too) left a lot to be desired.  He just comes off as a spoiled brat in some stories, not a Lord.  You are doing a 100% great job of portraying Sesshomaru, lol.  It's not your fault that I have problems with his personality.  :-)

I don't know if any of my ranting/reviewing did you any good, but I just wanted to let you know what a great story I think you've got going here.  I also think you are doing a terrific job.  I favorite you, so I'll be checking my email for an update.

I agree leave kikyou to Inuyasha and Kagome is much better paired with Sesshomaru as both are educated and together would be an unbeatable couple. Her fire his ice. Kagome would melt the ice while Sesshomaru would tame Kagome and calm her down and refine her. With Kagome's education and Sesshoumaru's statis together they could forge a better future for everyone willing to follow their rule.  I can not wait to read more of this story. As I all ways felt Kagome was more of a sister to Inuyasha giving him an adopted family aka her mother, grandfather and her little brother. I can see misplace love due to him saving her, her age and her being thrown into a time not her own, but in the end it would be like brother and sister.

I really like where you seem to be going with this story. It's nicely detailed and I feel it is very thought through and maintains a good flow. That you've kept the characters original personalities adds to my enjoyment. I'm very much looking forward to upcoming updates and seeing this through to its conclusion. I hope you update soon and frequently! Although, I won't complain if its not as often as I'd wish it to be. So far 9 out of 10 in my book (not 10 because it is still early in the plot, at least I'm hoping for many more chapters).
