"Allowed her liberties with his person that he did not even allow Rin when she was with him in her true form." HER true form? Her as in Rin? Is that a pronoun error or are you hinting at something about the curse? Or am I reading too deep?

Well that explains a few things. Although lines like, "Unless she breaks the tie herself by doing something he can’t forgive," drive me crazy. Authors don't drop in foreshadowy lines like that unless something bad is going to happen! :(
