Since this is from Kagome's point of view, I think Kagome isn't really inferior to Kikyo, she just sees herself that way. :)

I don´t hate Kikyou but seriously, did you have to make her so perfect and Kagome her opposite? Couldn´t Kagome be good in some things and Kikyou in others? I just wished for some balance but every writer insist on making Kikyou perfect and Kagome stupid, clumsy and other undesireable things which make her always inferior to Kikyou. This is getting old really fast.
