Lazurite (Chapter 15) - Sun 29 Jul 2012

Hm... is she learning mounted archery for a Reason (other than boredom)?

Lazurite (Chapter 12) - Sat 28 Jul 2012

Kasai and Mizu? Fire and Water! Nice!

So yeah... the well... not really understanding how it can disappear since Kagome didn't get sucked into the Jewel. I guess this is the complication from him putting Tessaiga back and no longer having the Meidou attack. No ideas on how you're going to bring the well back, and it has to come back or you're going to have one hell of a temporal paradox on your hands.

Lazurite (Chapter 9) - Sat 28 Jul 2012

Wow... Sango is angry... I get that, but it still seems off for her to lash out at Kagome. Naraku and herself yes, but not her friends. She's always been a bit (more than a bit?) of a martyr.

Ah... so he pretty much gets Bakusaiga in the same way...

kimchi759 (Chapter 32) - Fri 27 Jul 2012
I love you as an author and this fanfiction, but Yuugao's actions are really not necessary and not acceptable. I hate how they're being forced together. No matter how close they are or how obvious the signs, they (in particular, SHE) should've been given more time and choice. The same end result could have been brought about through carefully scripted dialogue. The fact she was forced into this with no consideration for how she feels (she is a grown woman if not by age then by experiences and capable of making her own decisions). What Yuugao did just makes me want to post a rant a couple of pages long on Kagome's strong character and the infuriating way she's rarely given a choice. I would think with everything she's been through understanding and freedom of choice would be given, if not without some lectures and cajoling persuasions. It also somehow taints their relationship, by making their joining together a cruel necessity rather than miraculous circumstance. It is just....urrggh. I always find one certain plot decice in SessKag fanfictions that I loathe, usually because of my feminism, but I would say Yuugao's callous scheming with no consideration for what others want (rather than what she thinks they need) is...irksome. The painting thing was cute, but this? Nope. That being said, this is the first fanfiction I've read where I truly remember Iniyasha and Kagome's relationship and the purity of their love for each other. You didn't have him choose Kikyou or abandon Kagome in anyway, and somehow, that makes this fiction so very canon and lovable. And incredibly heart wrenching. I love the emotions reading this inspires. It's just...friggin Yuugao. I love your other OCs though. C:

Lazurite (Chapter 8) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

Okay, this comment is more in response to your author note than anything else, because I hate it when people are too harsh on their own work. You probably don't remember, but you called this chapter "short and unpolished" and apologized for crappy writing. Don't do that.

First, the chapter length was fine. In a chapter this intense, I think anything longer would have been too much to handle for you or the reader.

Second, I don't even know what you mean by unpolished or crappy. I thought the writing was great. Sometimes I get a little confused because you seem to be sticking to the normal timeline and sometimes not, but that is more to do with my own brain than with the quality of the writing. So don't apologize! Seriously, even if the writing was crappy (which it isn't) don't apologize, because the reader probably won't even notice unless you draw attention to it.

Anyway, nice work. This had to be a difficult chapter to write and it was very good!

Kayelyn (Chapter 42) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

I know that this was their wedding day and all, but I feel like all the wangsty emotion on both sides was spot on. It would have seemed fake and almost obscene to have them be cheerful after what happened. I also feel completely dumb for not noticing the Nanmei/Kagome connection. But really the biggest thing that stands out to me, that pulled on my hearstrings, was the utter despair that Sesshomaru felt at learning that there was youkai blood in Kagome, and that everything they did in hell was for naught. You have this amazing gift of bringing these characters to life, in any type of situation, and making me root for them, cry for them, and hope for them.  I can't wait for the next installment!

Zero (Chapter 42) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

wheee more progress!  more dancing.

Thank you VERY much for the update.  I've never had to remodle a house, but I've been adopted by a sick kitten, so I can understand some of the stress.  Hope it all works out for the pair of you.

I don't remember you hinting in chapter 13 >>  which isn't too surprising for me.  I read alot and it all kind of mixes together at some point.  But certainly a good twisty turn there.  All the anguish from what happened in hell... all the drama, from an act that was 'useless'.  You are a cruel, cruel woman. lol.  Two friends of mine and I have a saying.  If our characters ever came to life they'd kill us.  Welcome to the club.  I have a feeling sesshy would love to dissolve you in acid XD

DescendingFrost (Chapter 42) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

Love this. Love you. In a purely fan-rabit way, I assure you. :D Welcome back and I hope your cat is feeling better! :O

Lazurite (Chapter 7) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

FYI Ginta and Hakkaku call Kagome "nee-san" which is older sister. Little sister would be imouto.

Would she be less offended if he gently placed the deer in front of her?

You renamed Thalia... Dressi?

stoictimer (Chapter 42) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

beautiful!

JordenMichelle (Chapter 42) - Wed 25 Jul 2012

Absolutely beautiful.  I feel like they've finally come to a point of upward/forward momentum.  You have portrayed their emotions soooo well, heartbreaking and hopefuly.... I can't even haha - Excellent story!  I'm looking forward to the following chapters.

Thanks for writing!

LoveAndFaith (Chapter 42) - Tue 24 Jul 2012

Keep it coming.

Lazurite (Chapter 6) - Mon 23 Jul 2012

Ugh... my wifi connection timed out and I lost the comment for this chapter and I don't remember what I wrote. OK... I think the gist of it was that Sango feels out-of-character and I found Shinzuru interesting... why does he remind her of someone?

Jasmini (Chapter 41) - Mon 23 Jul 2012

Finally got to the most recent chapter! *phew* let me tell you I am exhausted i've been reading this story for the better part of two and a half days which is a helluva long time for a person who can read a five hundred page book in 10 hours. Your story is long but you should be so proud of it because it has managed to make me read as obsessively as a fantasy geek reading Harry Potter for the first time. Your characterizations are great, the original characters are lovable and creative, the romance is slow and believeble and the struggle Kagome goes through is startilingly accurate. You seem to have great knowledge of the pain a rape victim goes through and an awareness of their psyche that is admirable. My only criticism is that the chapters in the Naraku arc are oppressively long. It took hours for me to get through the first few chapters of your story. This doesn't mean you should take anything out cuz you shouldn't but the subject matter is so heavy that it was almost painful to both my eyes and heart to keep reading. Next time maybe break the chapters earlier? Well anyway great story, I absolutely love it

Lazurite (Chapter 5) - Sun 22 Jul 2012

Ah! How is he going to get Bakusaiga now if he already re-grew his arm?

Lazurite (Chapter 4) - Sun 22 Jul 2012

Wow... not sure where you're going with dumping all those kids on them... these sorts of things never turn out well...

Kagome's core sort of reminds me of Inception, especially that crumbling city at the end, but dark. That in turn reminds me of the Kowloon Walled City, which was this extremely dense part of Hong Kong that had unregulated construction. It was demolished, but there's still aerial photographs and it's so overbuilt it doesn't look like it could possibly have been real. No clue if that's even close to what you were going for, but that's where my mind went...

Lazurite (Chapter 3) - Sun 22 Jul 2012

Energybending? You watch Avatar too, don't you?

Lazurite (Chapter 2) - Sun 22 Jul 2012

I'm liking this story so far, it's dark and angsty and more my thing, but I'll warn you now, I'm something of a purist. I pretty much ignore anything that only happened in the movies or the filler episodes of the anime (many of which I skipped because I found them intolerable). So I'm really confused when you talk about Soryuha, and I'm assuming you're taking a bit of artistic license here. My understanding is that Soryuha was one of Toukijin's attacks only used in the movies and filler episodes (i.e. not canonical), but you're writing of it here in reference to Tenseiga. I can suspend disbelief when it comes to combining attacks, but assigning it to a different sword? I'm assuming that if he's talking to Toutousai about the Meidou that they've fought and defeated Moryoumaru and Toukijin has been destroyed? And he put Tessaiga back in the tomb? How are they going to destroy the Jewel without the Meidou? Gah! I have to see what you have planned for that!

I've seen so many creative reasons lately for why Sesshoumaru uses the third person I'm starting to wonder if people really don't know? Has it become like a game of telephone, and it's been so long since there have been any decent translations that the fandom forgot? Not sure if you're using artistic license here also, but Rin didn't pick it up from him, btw. At least, not in the way that I think you mean.
