This was beautifully written. If i ever think to stray i. A relationship, ill always remember this fanfiction. Sad about the end but the fact she felt his presence follow her in life was beautiful and bittersweet. Vary well done! Thank you!
Every so often, I come back to read this fanfic, and it's easily in one of my top 20 favorites. You'd think I'd be familiar enough that I'd not get teary-eyed over a fanfic I've read a few times over the past decade, but I keep doing that. That just means this is a fantastically written fanfic. Thank you, from one of the form Single Spark site owners.
I really liked this story right up until this last chapter. I’m upset with the way it ended. I don’t like that Sessh died, and how he died.
Trinity (Chapter 1) - Sat 26 Apr 2014
This is the first review I've ever left.... But I couldn't help but to leave this. When I went through this story, I got very upset at some parts, but when I came to the end, all of my upset multiplied by LIKE 1,000,000! But I kept reading this story, which I never do when I read upsetting things, but this story is so beautiful. So sad. I'm like crying right now. I hated it, but I loved it. Wonderful job.
Erica (Chapter 15) - Tue 06 Aug 2013
So beautifully written. I laughed and cried throughout this story, there was so much emotion and depth with everything that it really made me feel like I was actually there and not just reading a story. Wonderful work!
Sin (Chapter 15) - Sun 28 Jul 2013
Oh my gosh.... I'm actually crying my eyes out right now. I just finished this and I'm not sure if I want to praise you for a beautifully written story or curse you for such a sad ending. Either way, I loved this story. It was simply breath-taking. I honest to goodness believe that this could be a book if you wanted it to be. I give you every compliment on a story well written that I can and can't think of. Bravo and please continue your marvelous work in other stories. But please, try not to make them quite so heart-wrenching so that I don't ruin my laptop with my crocodile tears!
Mary (Chapter 15) - Sat 02 Mar 2013

Pragmatic Desi (Chapter 15) - Fri 14 Oct 2011
So often we find ourselves at the end of a fanfiction and all is well.
I was no prepared for the emotional journey you would take me on.
That ending was amazingly bittysweet, I could do little but cry and praise you.
(Literally, to my roomates, tears in my eyes wailing, "That was so amazing, so beautiful, so sad....I could just die.")
You are AMAZING. I thank you from the BOTTOM of my heart for sharing this with Dokuga. You combined all the greatness of the lemony goodness with an AMAZING plot...neither getting in the way of the other.
This is, by far, THE best completed fanfiction I have EVER read in terms of plot, grammar, and conciseness.
It did not drag on and it was played in real time, which is so easy to mess up.
Just...breathtaking.
Thank you.
oh wow that story was so sad but it was well writen. i admit it made me cry amd it takes alot of things to make me cry so i thank u for a great story.
You definitely are a talented writer. I was drawn into your story even after I realized that Kagome was going to cheat on her husband. (In general I don't like cheating stories.) But as I continued to read I noticed what I precieve as problems with your story. Mostly it's the your characters seem to be inconsistent in their actions and feelings.
What I mean is that, take Sesshoumaru for instance, at first he is a callous womanizer who has no respect for Kagome or any other woman. Then a few chapters later and we realize that he is in love with Kagome and has been all along. But his behavior before and after this revelation don't really reflect this. He repeatedly calls her his whore. He apparently knew about the way his brother, Inuyasha was treating her so badly, cheating on her, having a vasectomy and not telling her. But does Sesshoumaru intervene? Does he ever go to Kagome and tell her what has happened or make sure she finds out. No, instead he just pays the bills and ignores that fact that the woman he is in love with is being treated like garbage. I would have thought that he'd have put a stop to things early on and offer himself to her if he cared so much.
Then they finely seem to be together. But once again he starts to treat her shabbily. He gets angry and leaves Kagome (breaking his vow to stay with her and be with only her) and picks up some other woman whom he spends 3 days having every way he can. He gets angry with Kagome and becomes physically violent. Both he and Kagome critisize Inuyasha and his treatment of his wife but I really can't see where Sesshoumaru is any better than he is. Then you wrap up the story very in a very romantically tragic way with Sesshoumaru dying yet his spirit or whatever lingers until Kagome's own death where they then spend eternity together. But once again this doesn't seem consistent with Sesshomaru's past behavior and temperment.
I had a similar reaction to Inuyasha. He waits for over 500 years to be with Kagome again but then when he has her he treats her like trash. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Kagome herself is a contridiction. She is the faithful wife for years to Inuyasha but then becomes Sesshoumaru's reluctant slut. This actually does make some sense to me since up until the Reese episode he is the only one she behaves with like this. (The Reese encounter seems totally out of character for a woman of little experience and fearful of losing her man.) But her lack of self-respect in her dealings with both brothers is bothersome to me. She seems to take their abuse repeatedly and then comes back for more. Why?
You are a good storyteller and are quite a talented writer, especially with lemons. But I think this story could be so much more then it is. If you develved into the underlying reasons for the characters behavior, their contradictory actions could make sense. Take Inuyasha, perhaps, he is negligent of Kagome and cheats on her because of left over feelings of rejection by others such as Kikyo and people from the fuedal era who rejected hanyos. Maybe his own brother's rejection has caused him to need constant affirmation. Maybe the women he cheats on Kagome with feeds his ego. Perhaps he treats Kagome badly because he needs her to love him unconditionally. Is she more than just a wife to him but mother also?
But maybe this is piece is supposed to be more erotica than drama/romance. If that is the case then delving deeply into the characters psyche isn't necessary or desirable. You wrote an okay story but have the potential to make it great.
I hope I havent' hurt your feelings or made you angry, it's not my intention. I wouldn't take this much time to analyse your story if I didn't think your talent and this story were worth it.
hcsteward (Chapter 15) - Mon 08 Aug 2011
I have been reading Sessh/Kag stories for about 10 years and this is one of the best ones that I have ever read. It takes a talented author to actually make the reader feel like they are in the story and that is what this story did. You managed to captivate me with the interaction between the charaters. It was also nice that it did not fit into that typical Sessh/Kag format. It was a wonderful yet tragic story and I hope to read more of your stories.
jedebey (Chapter 15) - Sun 07 Aug 2011
i cried forever when this ended. what a surreal telling you have made. i appreciate that you sat and created this, for it was a beautiful and wonderful read. thank you so very much for your time and dedication to this story.
Kar (Chapter 15) - Wed 03 Aug 2011
MAN AERIES you made me cry.... i dont cry.... ever!!! i was totally tearing up the whole last chapter. this was beautiful, you should post this on Fanfiction.net too, i think you would get alot more feedback considering the amount of people on the website. it was the first one i found before i even realized this website existed. but back to what i was saying, that was simply beautiful. i liked the part where sessh was like "God help me, why can I not stop loving you". that was beautiful cute. i was just like AWWWWWWWWW!!!!! lol
i alsoooo liked the part where sessh was dissing kagome's clothes and coffee, hilarious. and all the flirting was so cute, but i couldnt believe he died i was just like WTF HOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? and the i was like NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats so sad :,( it actually made me cry, and i RARELY cry, it has to be something extreme, so your story really touched me and i was so happy to be able to read it, unlike sessh i am always happy, unless i'm in a rage, but that is even rarer then my tears. i'm totally getting off topic, look what you did got me in a emotional tizzy, now i need to go eat some breakfast, all these emotions make me hungry lol. cant wait for your next masterpeice and till then,
Your Friend,
KAR.
Anne (Chapter 1) - Sun 31 Jul 2011
WOW. I did not expect that ending. I mean there were warnings...but still. I mean I loved the ride, it was one of the best rides I'd ever been on...
I just wish I didn't have to get off. Well kicked off...booted off...they died off...
I'll get over it! But you succeeded in doing your job! Seriously, great storyline, content, characters, etc etc. Thank you for writing this and sharing it <3
I'm just going to go over to the corner a bit and finish sobbing~
kumiko (Chapter 15) - Sun 31 Jul 2011
The story was not bad but you lost me as you brought that Reese woman suddenly into the relationship. All that time Kagome had to fight against her insecurities and Sesshoumaru does everything to show her how much he loves her but suddenly Kagome has the urge to bring a second woman into their bed to suprise him and he practically pounces on the woman just to fuck her tight cunt before his beloved Kagome. That´s really tasteless. Your whole story is all about sex and I´m not sure if you are even aware how much you are degrading the females, especially Kagome. Sesshoumaru calls her repeatadly whore but Kagome doesn´t care as long as he fucks her. No self-respect at all. Your americanization of the Inuyasha world is also annoying. And then you killed Sesshoumaru because he fell from a cliff?! Really, did you forget that he is a youkai and can fly? What about Kagome´s miko powers? Seriously, the story is not bad and actually well written but there are so many plotholes which just don´t fit. Like how is it even possible that the human hating Sesshoumaru someday decided he doesn´t hate them anymore and turnes into the biggest male slut ever and takes one human woman after the other?
KitElizaKing (Chapter 15) - Sun 31 Jul 2011
Okay, so a little confused here...when exactly did Kagome lose her Miko powers? Most of this wouldn't have happened if she'd have had them, and you don't address at all the fact that she doesn't, so what happened to them? Is it the old 'lose her virginity, lose her powers' thing? Or did you just simply forget about them? I mean, I enjoyed the story, right up until Sesshoumaru died--which was lame, 'cause you even had your own character, Kagome, point out, that the demon can fly, so him falling to his death was very deus ex machina of you. An easy out, in other words. I understand the temptation to craft a sad, mournful, ending, but...oh, well...it is your story after all. And this is just my opinion.
