I really like how you're using the complete canon as a springboard for a new adventure, and making it cohesive with this couple. I'd imagine that a hard thing to do, but this chapter is very successful and has instantly grabbed my interest. I'm a little leery of Sesshoumaru's plan involving Kagome, but with your signature brand of evolving his character, I'm very eager to find out what it is. Great beginning!
