What a pleasant little story. I can easily see how you could expand this further (it does seem to end unfortunately prematurely). It is always nice to see a story that uses the temptation to be oneself as a way to bring two people together. If you decide to continue the story, I would recommend allowing the friendship to grow steadily without rushing to romance. Deeper connections are more fulfilling in my opinion.
