Wow. That was definitely a strong beginning! I'm deeply intrigued about how Kagome wound up there, and why Sesshoumaru is bothering to save her. (Especially if he's distasteful of her).

I love Jaken's voice -- you've got a very interesting writing style, and it really lends colour to this interesting story. I wonder how Kagome was able to reach out to Sesshoumaru like that?
