I was going back to see if there was any more about this Mika thing and I ended up reviewing chapter 23 in chapter 21.  Mika wouldn't be a problem for me if I were Kagome, I would make an example out of her.

I hope you let Kagome put Sesshoumaru in his place when it comes to that Mika thing. Sesshoumaru knows he is mated, so, he should have pushed that nasty woman off. Let Kagome sock it to them.

I am simply in love with this story and the beautiful connection you have weaved between Sesshy and Kagome. It's so wonderful and tender i find myself incredibly happy when reading it and very hopeful about the future of the Lord and Lady of the Western Lands. The world is greatly intriguing and i cannot wait to see what happens as you go on, which i thoroughly hope you do.

The only thing i would note, is you on occasion repeat words closly together, it's not problematic to the story or anything and really probably doesn't bother many as it's occasional and not a hge deal, merely something i happened to notice. ^-^

Please continue as soon as you can, i am eagerly looking forward to Kagome's closer interaction with the varying Lords as well as her pregnancy! Great plot and story idea and fine writing work--nice use of descriptive words. ;P OH and i was also very pleased with how you incoorperated InuYasha and her friends into the story, to often i find him as the bad guy; curious about his future too.

This is a really interesting story and I can understand why it won the awards it did. There are only a couple things that bothered me in this chapter but they don't really affect the overall plot.

Thing 1: In the manga (and the new anime) Sesshomaru's father is the only one that's dead. His mother is quite alive and well and appears several times throughout the series just to bug Sesshomaru (or so it appears).

Thing 2: We clearly see the first time Sesshomaru transforms (both in the manga and in the anime) that he is <i>massive</i>. Way too massive for Kagome to "straddle" him like you wrote. Unless he compressed his size like his father did. In that case, you would need to explain that he did because otherwise you could leave readers very confused (me for instance).

Your style is your own and is obviously a good style. However, I would suggest getting a good beta-reader. You often switch between past-tense and present tense and I think you have the two tenses mixed up. I know another good author (whom I beta for) who <i>does</i> write in the present tense. But, she does it on purpose and continues it throughout the story. Beta readers can also help with characterization if you ask them to.

Kagome seems a little OOC through most of the story. I would suggest taking a look at some of the more well-known authors and their stories: Beside You In Time, The Nightengale, (both by RosieB or Replicant Angel on deviantArt), Canis Familiaris by Tally Mark and several others. However, the one I really think you should look at is actually on a hiatus at the moment. But I really think you could benefit from it.

"Matters of Instinct" by Sable Miyako is a lovely story and yours reminds me of it. Kagome is injured in some way/shape/form by Sesshomaru/one of his men and something happens to her, thus, Sesshomaru sees it as his duty to take responsibility for her. A change happens within her that puts her in danger/at odds with her friends/in need of his help/near death so he steps up to the plate. Great follow up to the ceremony.  No doubt was that entertaining.  I'm glad to see her overcoming her fear of the wolves.  It'd be a shame that they didn't make anymore lighthearted appearances. 

And to touch on Inuyasha's thoughts on what happened was interesting as well.  Would've liked to see some interaction with Kagome and her friends some. 

Another great chapter. I'm surprised that even the Great Sesshoumaru had that kind of patience, lol. One thing i noticed at the beginning of the chapter, i think it's a typo where you mixed up Kagome's and Kikiyo's names " It implied that Kikyou was not meant for him but for his half-brother. Would things have ended up differently if Kikyou and Sesshoumaru had met first?" I think you meant to say Kagome here. But otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed this chapter as always. This is one of the better stories that i read. It's refreshing to have something creative to read and quite well written. Congrats on making it this far and i look forwardto the upcoming chapter :) Until next time...

::chuckles:: I like this. It's definitely a new twist on things, but I like it!

That was most entertaining.  Worth the wait and you brought Inuyasha back to her side in a most endearing way, like they didn't skip a beat.  I think his presence will make for some seriously fun interactions with both Sessh and Kagome.  Not to mention his role as an UNCLE!! lol  Oh the hilarity!!  XD

I'm so intrigued by these "rituals" that you have her go through with these revealing ways of garou.  I suppose this is a more sensual side that takes readers away from that young girl she once was.  I like it. 

I like everything about the ceremony.  I like how it there were several different plot devices allowed within it.  I am so happy to see an update.  Sessh is gonna have a very hard time at the banquet.  lol  You inspire me to draw scenes. 

Please, please...PLEASE... do not hesitate to update.
