In response to Crazy4Fluffy's review about the blood, I would just like to say that I think it was a good point you made by not having him bathe immediately, and by not having Kagome act adversely to embracing him in such a condition. Though Kagome does become the new "light in his life" (at least, so I believe) and is beginning to heal his physical and emotional wounds, one must remember that Sesshoumaru is nevertheless still WOUNDED. The loss of Rin compounded by the psychological torment of his "failure" is still very real, and thus the state of his dress expresses how he truly feels: dirty, soiled, unworthy. The state of his dress, therefore, is the least of anyone's worry. In fact, Kagome's sudden embrace of him in such a state only furthers the effect of her capability to love, to heal, because she accepts him as he is at the time he most needs such acceptance. To want to clean him immediately, while on the surface seems an act of caring, would make more of a statement of rejection, I think. That, and I think this puts our girl Kagome very much in character. But that's just my interpretation...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Although, I really should be thanking you. I suppose both would be appropriate. To get to the point, this is one of the most splendid stories I've read in a long time. As an author, I myself know the difficulty in trying to create an original story out of an otherwise used idea, while also maintaining typical characterization. I believe you have achieved this quite nicely. Though Sesshoumaru's "icy exterior" (cliche, I know!) is not reinforced throughout this tale, the change - rather, the attitude portrayed - is not altogether unbelievable. What the hell are you talking about? The emotions expressed are basically flawless. This chapter shows that even Sesshomaru is capable of weeping, even if it is in his own way. I shed tears even though I could guess what was about to happen. Its not fair that his light was taken in such a brutal, dishonorable way. Its nice that Kagome becomes his new light in life. I think she is going to become his reason to live. Your story is absolutely phenomenal. Nice work of art.

GAH!!!! I utterly adore this story, just, GAH!!! My favorite part is the pace you set. It's patient and provides real opportunity for the attraction and respect to mature between these two. It's not based entirely on sex, but principles and integrity. It's pure, unadulterated romance. I float to staggering heights when I read this fic. It is superb!!!!
