Reviews for Papa's Red Cello by MontiK

Crystilwyn (Chapter 1) - Thu 26 Mar 2009

This story was just tantilizing.  It was very much like a temptation to continue and finish the chapter.  It catches your attention, but just enough to make you open it out of curiosity and when you read it it's as if you're face is glued to the page, and suddenly it takes hold of you and it refuses to let go.  This honestly would have made a better book than a fanfiction in my honest opinion.  Just the being of it is so perfect for a novel.  It really has so much potential.  Unfortunately there is only one chapter currently and that chapter happens to be quite short.  Before the chapter was cut short there could have been a little more character development and perhaps more description in terms of setting and what things looked like, and their attire. I would have loved to read more of this, not only more but I would have been willing to pay for this had this been a published book!  No rush, but I can't wait to read the next chapter.

So, by complete coincidence, I happened to be listening to Apocalyptica's cover of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters when I opened this story up. It fit well with the scene and really enhanced it for me, but I was wondering if you had any specific song in mind when you wrote this? Either way, though this is only the beginning of the story, it really looks good and I will definitely keep following it as you get more up. I can't wait till the next chapter is posted!

P.S. If you don’t know Apocalyptica you can find a lot of their stuff on you tube.
