Well, you've got an excellent start here. I'm definitely impressed. I confess I hate it when I come across something so exceptionally written when it's just started and there's only one chapter. It makes the wait that much more excruciating, but at least I'll have something exciting to look forward to. Please do continue. You've got me hooked already.
Viciously attacked by a perfume-y beetle you say? Well I can understand why you might not want to sleep. I've never been overly fond of beetles myself. It must have been big for you to smell it - I've never noticed a beetle smelling like much of anything, but then our beetles tend to be on the small side and I've never gotten close enough to the bigger ones to take a sniff. That's interesting.
