Cute story, but I didn't really like the ending all that much. It seemed to have come out of no where and was very rushed. They went from kissing one second, to there being a fire, to him disappearing... I don't know, I just think you could have wrapped it up better, or at least have continued it so it would just end there.

LOL, poor Kagome!  If it wasn't for bad luck, she'd have no luck at all!  You wrote this rather well from her standpoint, though with her petite build, I'd think six glasses of wine would plant her on the floor long before midnight!  Ah well, it is fiction, after all... Very nice entry and Karma point for you for firing up the confetti!
