Ah, Saito-san, what a hunk :) LOVE the reference and how you made Sess one of Mibu's Wolves; I immediately picked up on it! One of my other top fave anime/mangas. Absolutely delightful!!!
Shot in the dark, as I only watched one episode before I quit, but is it a cross-over with Rurouni Kenshin? It said he was a man with red hair and purple eyes, made mention of the Shisengumi, and had a human skilled enough with a sword to wound a youkai. I guess that might be Kenshin in his Battousai days?
The fic had a nice flow, and the bit at the end where Sesshoumaru says he won't let something as menial as the western calendar decide when he next appears does sound a lot like him, but the way he says he shall return was adorable, as was the tinge of melancholy this fic had, with the mentions of Rin, Inuyasha, and particularly how Kagome says he's the only family she has left. I'm going to pretend that Shippo decided to travel the world or something, and is not dead. A lovely piece, and I would really like to see a bit of backstory behind it, such as why Kagome is not aging and why Sesshoumaru joined a political group.

Very cute one-shot :). Would love to see it extended; such as how Kagome began the healer she is or the story that lead up to Sesshoumaru ending up wounded there, but even as is, it was a great read :). Keep up the good work.
Ikaru (Chapter 1) - Fri 17 Dec 2010
This was extremely well written, there was beautiful description throughout, and a lovely bitter-sweet ending, and its got that warm Christmasy feeling to boot. :D Excellent job and I'll be looking forward to more of your work in the future!
I like how you are very detailed about everything (example: what color his eyes changed too) and I really like your writing style. The story is Christmasy and gives me a warm feeling, which is always nice to have when reading a story...so thank you for that. Keep up the good work!
Your wrting style is very colorful - t helps brig the reader in to the story with so many descriptive words. I also found this to have an incredibly pleasant flow. It was also appreciated to see a S/K relationship where they weren't pining lovers, or some mix of that. I thought the simplicity of their mutual respect for one another, and their bond through Inuyasha to be impactful enough. I would have liked to have know why Kagome isn't aging though... is it because of her former relationship with Inuyasha (you know, the typical storyline where if she makes an inu she's tied in to their lifespan - thing) or is it because she's not from that time, etc. i also thought you took great care to try and keep referenses true the the time period you were writing for, but then you had the Samurai say "Dont get you knickers in a twist" which seemed completely out of place not only for the time period but the setting as well.
I liked this a lot. It was kind of bittersweet and I definitely wished it were longer so I could find out just what had happened so long ago. But it was really good and flowed nicely.

I'm so glad that Kagome saved Sesshoumaru! I'm also glad, that in his own way, he appreciates her. Thank you for the story!
