This is really good. I hope this isn't a oneshot because I'm curious about their relationship progression.

Good start! I hope the menacing presence that freaked Kagami out, is not Naraku.  Primarily because he's the bad guy in everything there has to be more of a threat.  Plus It feels like it would inevitably drawing to the conclusion that Kagura was feigning friendship to Kagome.. But that's just my opinion. I loved the puppy dog eyes scene and yeah the birthday sequence was very familiar! I've been dragged through houses when my nieces and nephews turned certain ages. So I can relate. But wonderful start, and please update soon! 

Very intriguing and well written. I can't wait to see what happens next. Please keep up the good work.
