How sad. There are times that Kagome is a little slow on the uptake. 

I love how this story is coming along. Your descriptions of the shrine and Inu no Kimi‘s reactions to the shrine and Kagome herself are beautifully written. I can’t wait to read the next chapter.

An amazing chapter! I absolutely love the amount of detail you gave. This could actually mesh very seamlessly with the real plot. I wonder how kagome will view not only Inuyasha but her entire situation.

this chapter was absolutely heartbreaking and I wouldn't have liked it any other way! It was definitely a good idea to take your time and come up with a background story. SessMama is a strong woman. And I loved the idea with the sake: onw for special occasions, one for Sesshoumaru's wedding and one for the first grandchild. What a lovely detail. SessMama loves her son a lot.

I'm curious to see what there is in the bag. And if SessMama's input was enough for Kagome to understand what she should do.

P.S. As far as I know the drinking age in Japan is 20.
