This was great. I think there are a lot of people who can relate to this, and reading it, it brought to mind a thought I often have about Sesshoumaru. No one can truly be an island. We all need something or someone at some point, and when we don't have that, the mind spirals. And that's what we see here with Sesshoumaru. So much in the series points to him being primarly alone. There's Jaken. We know his mom is alive. But there's never any evidence of any sort of consistent mentorship or give and take there. Bokuseno, who he has to seek out, is probably the most likely candidate there, though there's no real reason to believe there's anything consistent. And he very obviously struggles with his father, and we often see him locked in his own world, trying to process things there and/ or talking to his father. So, Sesshoumaru is for all intents and purposes fairly alone in terms of the equal grounds or mentoring companionship a grown person needs and in his case, I would argue craves. This story shows how the kind of stress a lack of outlet leads to can manifest. And on a lighter note, it shows how the smallest things - Kagome just noticing his efforts in this case - can go a long way in starting the healing process. It's heartbreaking to see Sesshoumaru this way, but I think it could very well be how things could manifest for him. Anyway, I'm rambling now. I loved this. Thank you!

VS, so far your right. This is heartwrenching and soul crying. It reminds me of how most of us feel during our own independent dark times until a light brings us back up. Onward to more!
Rahiggin (Chapter 1) - Sat 05 Jan 2019
I was discussing this issue with my husband. It resonates so well with those kids that end up becoming school shooters. People need to acknowledge others and be aware of how much of an impact we can make on an already fragile mind. It is frightening.
Excellent. Really enjoyed this. Disappointed that it is a one shot.
Natasha (Chapter 1) - Wed 05 Dec 2018

Jamie (Chapter 1) - Fri 16 Nov 2018
Tears... Real tears, sweetness. You captured inner darkness in near perfect form. It's a difficult thing to do without seeming obnoxiously patronizing or "preachy." This does strike me as a story that could find continuation with Kagome helping to heal his darkness, while he unknowingly heals the hidden darkness we all know lurks deep down inside her. Whether you choose to do so or not, this brief foray into your imagination is very appreciated. I look forward to seeing more from you!
The story was absolutely beautiful, I really want to read more. To see the relationship bloom between Kagome and Sesshomaru (romantically, wink wink), cause I know she will be able to help heal Sesshomaru's poor wounded soul. Poor baby. I want to just give him a big hug. Maybe Kagome can do it in my stead lol.
Jean (Chapter 1) - Wed 14 Nov 2018
It's so sad, but very well written. It sounds like a very good start to a longer story I would very much like to read. Keep up the good work!
I enjoyed it very much. Would love to see a sequel to it.
Jean (Chapter 1) - Wed 14 Nov 2018
Very emotional, tear-jerkering story. Well written
Very nicely written story. Fascinating tale. I wish you could have a continuation or even an epilogue would be nice. ;)
It was a bit on the darkside and very sad but at least you left a light burning at the end of the tunnel so everything did not seem completely hopeless for Sesshomaru.
Your portrayal of Sesshomaru's character and the ordeal of the self-harm was very intense and brought back some memories of my own ordeal of my depression, suicidal tendencies and a couple of near fatal attempts when I was in my late teens, early twenties. Your descriptive writing made me feel like I wanted to reach out to Sesshomaru and embrace him and let him know that all is not lost...there is still hope and it will get better, it just takes a little time. There is someone out there waiting for you that will give you back that feeling of being appreciated, loved and cared for.
I believe that Kagome is that person because she won't give up on him and because she is a very empathetic, loving and forgiving soul.
My mother always told me and my siblings to always say a kind word or do a kind jesture and always smile for someone; it might change that person's life because you never know what is going on in their life and who knows, you might even save their life, if that makes any sense to anybody.
Excellent writing!
Cheers!!!
ah this was so good! i really hope you’re going to write sequel, but even if you don’t this was absolutely touching.
Very good story saf and tragic that one noticed but kagome great Read
Now let's make him go Yandere mode on ImaKag....But the cold, calculative and protective type. Seems like a good setting for that.
Toni (Chapter 1) - Tue 13 Nov 2018
